Open a wheel of Sogn from @shepherdswaycheese with us! A farmstead sheep’s milk tomme style with a beautiful natural rind, this cheese smells like it was just unearthed from the pasture (in a good way!) and has a crumbly, salty, and rich paste. Since trying this at a meet the maker event last fall, it has become my most-craved cheese. YUMMMM COME TRY SOME !! by @mongeroflove
@mongeroflove put this beautiful board together! by @mongeroflove
Summer has officially started because Bowl (and board) season has begun !! I had a lot of blue cheese to eat up - a saltier classic Colston-Bassett Shropshire and a sweeter recent addition Point Reyes Fennel Bay Blue. Had to calm things down a bit with buttery angelic Nancy’s Camembert. Picked up a devious off-dry Spanish white “Hello God” that perfectly complimented the blues. Tonight was Classical Pride, starting off with Candide was the highlight. Here’s to many more !! by @mongeroflove
Finally got to monger some love 💚💚 Had the pleasure of making a grazing board for Zach and Ashley’s 200 person wedding on the farm. I tried to focus on domestic and/or farmstead produced cheeses in keeping with all I have learned working for @2_peasinapodinc ! Such a beautiful night full of friends and dancing and delicious food and love !! This is something I greatly enjoy and wish I had more opportunities; I would love to bring cheese to your next event of any size or purpose ! Also huge thank you to @lyddiepants @la.cheeseguy @mizzbizzyizzy and everyone at Gourmet Imports for the help on this!! It always takes more work thank you think !! Had a lovely week in England filled with lots of delicious cheese 💫 Huge thank you to Anna and Daria of NYD for the incredible tour of the arches - still processing the amount of cheese and dairy products that move through there with such care and precision. Discovered a new favorite, Brightwell Ash, and thank you to Fred at the NYD shop for supplying! Got to visit Lynher Dairy in Cornwall, thank you to Otto for the hospitality and the hat !! Also Fen Farm Diary in Suffolk, watching the beautiful Montbéliardes be milked right behind the raw milk dispenser in the farm shop…. No words! I was lucky to visit while the weather was beautiful, swam in the ocean several times with my mom, and enjoyed being somewhere where cheese and dairying is seemingly much more part of the culture ?! by @mongeroflove
