Forever behind on Instagram but here’s a little winter recap.❄️

This winter I worked as Nordic ski patrol which was one of the coolest jobs ever.
I competed in my first Hyrox.
Had many Whistler ski days including a weekend trip for Experts only.
I went on a cozy cabin getaway with my closest friends.
I started doing my 200 hour yoga teacher training which I finished in the spring.
I went to a couple of great bass heavy edm shows and danced the night away.

Sometimes I look at my life and feel unsure if I’m on the right path. It can feel chaotic and disorganized at times in between the excitement and novelty.

However, I am grateful to have the opportunity and courage to pursue adventure and try new things, learning about myself along the way.
I will continue to challenge myself in new ways and explore interests and hobbies I’m passionate about.

You know when you have a crazy travel experience and it just reminds you life is beautiful and how lucky we are to exist and enjoy those moments?? Well, this was that. It wasn’t an exotic wellness retreat in Bali, or a backpacking trip through Europe, but a Halloween themed music festival in Florida. Every now and then we need to experience these moments of AWE to remind us why we do the thing. After dealing with loss and some crappier aspects of the human experience this summer, the festival and my Florida trip reminded me of all the beauty life has.
Here’s my Hula story! I was looking into music festivals similar to Shambhala and after some digging on Reddit I learned about Hulaween, a music and arts festival situated in live oak Florida, specifically the Suwannee river state park, on Halloween weekend.
I had plans to be in Panama City beach Florida in October which is only 4 hours away.
After the stacked lineup camp out and reading people rave about the festival, notably highlighting the camping experience and the awesome attendees, i knew I wanted to go. None of my friends were able to make it so I joined Facebook groups and read about many people’s positive experiences going alone and It gave me the push I needed. I flew to pcb for my trip I brought my camping gear and festival stuff as if I were going even though I hadn’t had a ticket. I made a post In a fb group looking for a ride, I was happy to get a reply from @katie_ben79 who kindly offered to pick me up on the way from Pensacola. I went to the pcb drum circle and met @mccormack291 who was kind enough to sell me a discounted ticket.
@chlopamine_ and Katie picked me up and we vibed in the car and I ended up camping with their group. They were 40+ people, many of them professional disc golfers.
They all welcomed me with open arms. I knew I’d made the right choice coming here at this point.

Managed to squeeze in one of my favourite hikes while visiting Oahu!

3 peaks is a challenging ridge hike with three summits offering views of the windward coast, Kailua, and the Koʻolau Mountains.

Not for the faint of heart, each peak has steep inclines, rock scrambling and climbing. The first peak being the easiest and the last peak being the most technical.

(First 2 pictures above, standing on the 2nd peak, third peak is behind me)

Ridge hikes are my favourite type of hike.
I love the adrenaline and the views they offer. The element of danger and focus needed allows me to enter a flow state while having to watch my steps carefully.

Side note this is the first hike I did when I lived on Oahu and the hike that made me fall in love with the activity 🏔️🥾🧗🏽‍♀️
