"What can we wish for someone who gives us so much without expecting anything in return? Magne Furuholmen has that characteristic seen in few people, the greatness of soul. And this reflects on his work and talent! May his life always be as bright, generous, and magnificent as the emotions he shares with us. I wish all the best that life still has to give him! The happiest Birthday ever! 64 years is just the beginning!" Sublime. "Let me ask you a question. What best signifies the start of "Take On Me"? Magne Furuholmen's keyboard intro. It’s not just the beginning of a song; it’s the sound signature by which the entire world recognizes a-ha. Magne created that iconic riff when he was only 15 years old, and it became the beating heart of one of the most memorable tracks in history. It’s where it all begins. It’s where it all started. In my opinion, Morten Harket possesses an impeccable, distinctive, unique, and sublime voice, one of the truly great singers of our time. He also has an admirable inner strength, reflected in a deeply beautiful life story. Pål Waaktaar-Savoy is, without a doubt, an incredible songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who still carries the raw sensitivity of someone who feels his own lyrics every time he plays and sings them, on top of being a true gentleman, kind and attentive. Let's back to Magne. He is on another level. He possesses charisma, charm, humor, striking looks, and immense musical talent as a keyboardist, guitarist, and songwriter, not to mention his work as a visual artist, poet, and a core creative presence in the identity of the band, formed in 1982 in Oslo, Norway. Simply put, he excels at whatever he sets his mind to. a-ha wouldn't be a-ha without him. a-ha felt like a phenomenon from the cosmos, and no matter how far they’ve gone or how fast time has flown, they remain one of the few bands whose music truly moves my life. Their songs stay alive, evolving in meaning and accompanying me through deeply personal moments. Just as in the beginning, impacting me like no other ever has. And even today, stirring my emotions like no one else can. Now is the time to celebrate this man's Birthday, this artist, this father, this friend. Magne Furuholmen, your place in the history of music and the arts is forever etched in the stars. Happy Birthday. I love you." "A long time ago, on October 31, 1961, in Dublin, Ireland, a boy was born. Before the stadiums, before the Grammys, before the anthems that would echo across generations, there was a boy who grew up loving the drums, with a dream in his head, who wrote a handwritten notice and pinned it to his school's bulletin board. The year was 1976, and 14-year-old Larry put out a call for musicians at Mount Temple Comprehensive School. He couldn't possibly have imagined what would follow. That small, unassuming gathering would eventually become U2, four young men from Dublin who would conquer the world without ever changing their original lineup. And at the heart of it all was Larry. He was never the loudest personality in the room. Never the one chasing the spotlight. But behind that drum, he was and remains an absolute force of nature. What can be said about the near-military precision of "Sunday Bloody Sunday"? The relentless urgency of "I Will Follow"? The thunderous pulse of "Pride (In the Name of Love)"? The magnificent momentum of "Where The Streets Have No Name"? Larry doesn't just keep time; he gives U2 its very heartbeat. From the raw innocence of "Boy" to the spiritual fire of "The Joshua Tree", the reinvention of "Achtung Baby", and decades of extraordinary tours, his drumming has remained unmistakable. And perhaps the most remarkable part of the story? The band he started as a schoolboy celebrated its 50th anniversary this year, in 2026. That’s half a century of arguments, friendship, triumphs, and the music that became the soundtrack to millions of lives. Larry has faced painful physical challenges in recent years, but his place in rock history was secured long ago. C, sometimes, the quietest man in the band is the one who started the whole revolution. Happy 65th birthday, Larry Mullen Jr. Fifty years later, the beat goes on. And I listen to it with the exact same emotion as the very first time. Thank you for agreeing to co-star with Samantha in "Electrical Storm", one of the songs of my life, definitely in my top 5, and it's still my cellphone ringtone since 1998. I love you." "You think witchcraft isn't real? Let me remind you. You let crystals power your phones, but mock me when I say crystals carry power. You bow to calendars, but laugh when I bow to the Moon. Yet both rule your life. You call it science when machines align to frequency. I call it magic when my body does. You speak to little boxes and hear voices from miles away, yet call me foolish for hearing the voices carried by the wind. You call it coincidence. I call it alignment. But either way, the spell works. You believe in gravity, though you cannot see it. You breathe air, though you cannot touch it. Magic asks no more of you than that. You fear what you cannot measure. I thrive on what you cannot explain." On this day, when Halloween is celebrated, I celebrate Samhain, the Celtic festival that commemorates the end of Summer, the Harvest Time, and the Celtic New Year, beginning on November 1st. "Today, October 31st, Pagan and Neopagan religions, such as Wicca, celebrate "Samhain" in the Northern Hemisphere, the festival that marks the end of the harvest, the Celtic New Year, and the honoring of ancestors. In the Southern Hemisphere, where the seasons are reversed, many practitioners celebrate "Beltane", the Spring Festival, which symbolizes fertility, life, and union. Both are sacred dates of seasonal transition, where practitioners honor the cycles of Nature, life, and ancestry. On Samhain, we greet with "Blessed Samhain" or "Oíche Shamhna Shona Duit" (Happy Samhain Night, in Gaelic).
