@siennalakovic.dance and i’s little secret (not so secret anymore…) 🖤

when sienna spontaneously had a thought backstage one day i did nottt think it would end up with this sort of result. 🙈

after watching this crazy gal do this solo for the first time there weren’t really any words to describe how proud i was of her. 😭🖤 to think that we set this a week before she competed it still boggles my mind, but we accepted the challenge, rolled with it and i wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. it’s crazy how a little living room idea turned into this.

sienna, you brought my vision to life more beautifully than i could have ever imagined and i cannot thank you enough for trusting me with your abilities. choreographing a solo for you was a dream come true. 🖤 the way you took some random moves and made them your own in such a short period of time is so admirable. 😭 you will forever inspire me and this is something i’ll never forget. im so proud of us, this was wildddd 💫💫🌟

thank you always @rise21dancecompany for continuously supporting me with my passion for choreo, i wouldn’t be where i am without you guys!! by @monicatdance

a week late but i couldn’t not do a recap on last weekend at dance power 🤍 i had such an amazing time with my team and will truly treasure all the memories that were made. so grateful to have received 5th overall div 4 soloist + a power surge (ahhh!) for my contemp solo - i’ll hold that moment close to me forever, thank you @tookeyliz for everything!! - as well as 10th overall for my lyrical solo, highest scoring student choreo solo and first overall div 4 duo/trio for my lyrical trio with @siennalakovic.dance and allytandance. for groups, i couldn’t be prouder of us for receiving judges pick, a power surge and overall div 4 winner of the power champs for our lyrical. thank you always @breannaenglish_choreo 🤍 of course any of this couldn’t have been possible without the amazing staff and support of @rise21dancecompany, i love u guys!! such an incredible start to the season, so excited for what’s to come! by @monicatdance

scream and shout - monica’s capstone project

ahhh! to say this process was satisfying is truly an understatement. for my grade 12 capstone project i had the idea of choreographing a piece to then be filmed on camera. after much thought a plan was developed which led to the creation of this video. working with this team was so much fun and i cannot thank everyone who was involved enough. you are all amazing and i learnt so much from each and every one of you along the way. special thanks to @breannaenglish_choreo and @thechristianlagasse for supporting my ideas throughout, lending helping hands, and assisting me with all stages of this project. and to @gippstagram, your work never fails to amaze me!! lastly, i couldn’t have been able to do it without my @rise21dancecompany fam, thank u for encouraging me and lending me the space to film. so so so much love. hope you enjoy. 🤍

one week ago today. 💌 i’m a bit late to posting but i had the most amazing week at our last comp of the season - @dancepowercompetition ‘s power to the max in whistler! everything about it was so much fun and i miss it all so much. i’d do anything to relive the 4 power surges we got for our groups. i am so grateful to have been able to perform my lyrical solo one more time at the showdown as well as 5 of our groups! and to end it all of our contemp xl group by @tookeyliz won the showdown! i couldn’t be happier. thank you @rise21dancecompany for an incredible season. see you today provincials!! by @monicatdance
