This is The needle, a hike of about 4-4.5h depending on how many drone/photo stops you make. Is it hard? Yes, you have to climb using tree roots, it’s humid and muddy but it’s totally worth it. You can get up to about half of the rock and have an amazing view of the beach and the forest around, you get about 230 degree view of the island 🫶🏻

The first time we went off the boat and we encountered three reef mantas, there majestic and harmless animals grow up to 5m, they were calm, curious and so beautiful. We were soooooo lucky to have three of them at arms length. taken in Bora Bora, French Polynesia by @monicayee

As a Freediver, not being allowed to dive is pretty boring. But we have to stick to the rules of the places we visit. The good thing is that bora bora is very accessible, any age, any level of fitness, they will accommodate to your needs. Also, from just snorkeling you can see A LOT taken in Bora Bora, French Polynesia by @monicayee

Vaipo waterfall, 350m in the heart of Hakaui Valley. 1h walk down the mountain to get here, and I can’t even describe what I felt when I saw it 🥹 by @monicayee

Gosh a pipa never tasted better, our guide then chopped the skin and gave us some lemon to eat it. They use lemon for everything in Nuku Hiva, I feel like we often just add salt in CR, but my mouth is watering as I write this 😂 it was sooo good by @monicayee

81h took us to get here 😂 a few bumps on the road but we’re finally here and today the adventure begins. We’re heading to a waterfall and of course I’m a bit nervous about the hike 😅 but let’s see what Nuku Hiva has to offer 🫶🏻 by @monicayee
