Modern Motherhood—

If there’s one thing photographing maternity sessions for the last decade has taught me is that people are nervous.

Nervous to be vulnerable in front of a little black box.

Nervous to be seen.
Nervous to be invisible.

Nervous for their bodies and lives to change.

Nervous to find balance in a way that doesn’t lose who you are.

Nervous to be a parent for the first time.

I would say one of biggest strengths is walking through those feelings. I spend a portion of our time together just getting to know the person, their life, and the exchanging of funny stories that seem insignificant. Before you know it, we are besties and you’ll wonder why you ever felt nervous in the first place.
