Today, my daadi left this world to reunite with her husband, the man she lost far too early in her life, and whom she carried in her heart every single day since. For decades, she walked this journey alone, yet she built a life full of warmth, strength, and love. She raised four children and watched nine grandchildren grow, filling every one of our lives with her presence, her wisdom, and her unconditional love.
Today, that long wait is finally over. She is with him again.

Rest in peace, Daadi. I hope you enjoy your beloved long drives, kesar pista kulfis, sodas and all the things that bring you joy. Thank you for everything you gave us. We will carry you with us always. by @monil_d

Thank you @rishabsmusic for making my Mum’s first concert experience so memorable. You turned a starry evening at the racecourse into a page in history by performing Sitar for Mental Health for 20,000 people. You studded the night not just with your carats, but with magic and melody! You gave me one of the best moments I’ve shared with my family. ❤️ taken in Mahalaxmi Race Course by @monil_d

This is performance was a last minute decision, Komal spontaneously joining and dancing in sync defines the relationship we’ve had growing up. They say blood is thicker than water, that is not true for me. In all technicality, we’re only neighbours but this relationship goes beyond that. You’ve loved me as your own and have been no less than a mother to me. Your presence in my life has shaped me into the man that I am today (and we’re almost proud of him🤭). You taught me to dream big and thrive tirelessly to make it happen. Your drive for family, friends, work, hobbies, home and how you balance and show up for all of it, inspires me.
I love you to the moon and back, You’re clearly reversing with age and I wish this ageless radiance forever in your life.

Phases of Love~
Dance is my favourite language. I find myself so fortunate to be able to communicate in this language. This one is a reflection of my training of all these years, everything that I have learnt while being part of SDIPA @shiamakindiaofficial as a student and @amitsomanishiamak has played the biggest role in that journey. Out of the tons of knowledge that I’ve recieved from him, one of being able to make the experience memorable for the audience. This my was my attempt at that.
To my coaches at @fitnyc @ambitiousquiantae & @therosannak thank you for trusting me with this performance and giving me the opportunity to present the art that I bring from my country #india I’m really grateful for it. Special shoutout to Tony & Ro for bringing my vision to life with the setup, lights and sound, thank you so much!
There was no way I could let my last @fitdanceco performance be without a special touch. So I thought having quick changes between the songs would be a great way to do that and it would also allow me to create more costumes. (Definitely underestimated the time that it would take me to make them 🙂)
I made a high low circle skit and a pegg skirt for Anna and three shirts for myself. The sheer black shirt almost made me give up but somehow we managed.
To the beautiful five ladies Maggie, Mia, Amanda, Gianni, Janaie thank you for opening the piece so beautifully with the white Lycra
Last but not least, @anna_scourtis thank you for immediately agreeing of performing this duet with me. It wouldn’t have been possible without you. You are incredibly talented yet so humble, and grounded! I am going to miss you next semester!
Big big THANK YOU all my friends who made it to the show, we’re almost at the end of this semester and I know how intense it gets but you guys showed up and that means so much to me!!! All my love to you guys.
My heart is so full, nothing thing else but #grateful
