I am at a complete loss for words. Sid — thank you for being the best friend I could’ve ever asked for. You were taken from this world far too soon because of a selfish act of violence. You lit up every room you walked into, had one of the biggest hearts of anyone I’ve ever known, and always knew how to make me feel better on tough days

From meeting at the Gorge in 5th grade and becoming tubing buddies, to dating for 2 days in 7th grade (🤣), to becoming one of my absolute best friends — I truly don’t know how I’m supposed to do life without you. Thank you for answering my biweekly FaceTime calls to let me rant about minor inconveniences, vent about boys, ask for outfit advice, and somehow always end up laughing like no time had passed. We had so many plans. Just last week we were talking about moving to New York together and joking that our pact to get married at 40 if we were both still single was coming up way faster than we expected (which I don’t think we were mad about)

I am so incredibly proud of the man you became, especially over these last few years. You were one of the most talented clothing designers I knew (self taught might I add), an amazing skier and wake surfer, an insanely hardworking person, and most importantly, someone who would do absolutely anything for the people you loved

I’m so thankful you came to visit me this year and that I got to spend Christmas with you and your family. If I had known that would be the last time I’d see you, I would’ve held onto every second a little longer

I love you more than you’ll ever know, and I promise I’ll continue to stay positive and make you proud. This isn’t goodbye — it’s see you next time
