There are some people whose love leaves a permanent mark on your heart. My mother-in-law was one of those people.

She was one of the kindest, most welcoming people I’ve ever known. She loved with her whole heart, gave generously without expecting anything in return, and had a way of making everyone feel like family.

If you knew her, you knew her legendary long voicemails…never just a quick message, but a full conversation filled with stories, laughter, and love.

She was also the only person I’ve ever known who had an actual recipe for making a Diet Coke. It had to be just right.. the perfect cup, the perfect ice, the perfect pour and the perfect splash of water. It was such a simple little ritual, but somehow it made every Diet Coke taste better. That’s who she was. She found joy in the little things and made them special.

We will miss her more than words can express, but we are so grateful for the love, laughter, and memories she leaves behind.

Rest peacefully Mama Pineault. Thank you for loving us so well. You will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and always remembered💜 by @monique_pineault

Watching you chase your dreams with determination, humility, and heart has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. You inspire me daily with the way you show up for the people you love, the way you continue to grow, and the way you never stop believing in what’s possible. ✨

Tulum gave us everything we didn’t know we needed, adventure, wild nature, deep grounding, and a full disconnect from the synthetic noise.

My dog just turned 3 years old, and somehow, she’s taught me more about life than most humans ever have.
She reminds me to live fully, to notice the simple beauty in ordinary moments. That it doesn’t take much to feel joy. A walk, fresh air, presence. She’s gentle, and sometimes she’s absolutely crazy, just like me, and somehow both of those things coexist perfectly in her without apology.
She loves with a kind of unconditional love that humans often forget. Not because we’re incapable of it, but because we get tangled in labels, expectations, and the quiet rules society places on us. She doesn’t judge. She doesn’t keep score. She isn’t hard on herself for being exactly who she is.
My German Shepherd is authentic.
She doesn’t dim her light to make others comfortable. She doesn’t question her worth based on outside opinions. She simply is. And in doing so, she reminds me of something important: life is meant to be lived as your true self, not the version shaped by fear, comparison, or approval.
Animals are fascinating that way. They observe. They rest when they need to. They love deeply and purely, with no conditions attached. They don’t need much to live well and yet they live so fully.
What a goal that is.
To love freely. To rest without guilt. To be present. To stay true. To shine without asking permission.

Not because of her but because the bed wasn’t made. Because the moment wasn’t “perfect.” Because somewhere along the way, I learned to pause, to edit, to hold back… over things that don’t actually matter.
See how quickly we place conditions on ourselves?
My dog didn’t care. She was fully present, fully herself, fully enough. No filters. No second-guessing. Just real.
And yet here I was, almost dimming a moment of joy because of a wrinkle in the background.
How many times do we do this in life? Delay our happiness. Silence our voice. Hide our light. All because things aren’t perfectly arranged.
Perfection is a human invention. Presence is real.
