Ever since finding out my due date of December 24th, I had been manifesting a January 4th birth. After making it past the holidays, I have been saying January 3rd would be okay too…I woke up January 3rd & knew that she was coming soon. The house was still a mess from moving & we hadn’t yet set up my birth area so I messaged @ariadna_lovespink to see if she could come watch Ocean while we cleaned. I went to the restroom & sure enough had a “bloody show.” I immediately texted my doula @lexireeeid to let her know baby girl was on her way. I started having light contractions that afternoon so I began timing them in order to keep @sweetbeginningsmidwifery in the loop. At 2pm I texted Jon “Don’t think you’re going to work today.” I also warned Ari that I might be giving birth while she’s here.At 4:30pm I made sure to eat a large meal to have enough energy for what was going down. Around 5:15pm Ari came over to play with Ocean at which point I told her tonight is definitely the night. I told Lexi to come over & shortly after, let my midwives know they should come over too. I told Jon to fill the tub & I paced back & forth breathing through the contractions as I waited for everyone to arrive. Once everyone was at my house & the tub was filled, I kept thinking I should just go in the tub & do this, but Marvey was taking some vitals so I waited a little bit until finally asking if I could just go in. I turned to Jon & said “are you ready? Cuz you know as soon as I go in, she’s coming.” He said he was ready & in we went. Just like with Ocean’s birth…it wasn’t long after I went in the tub, Aero popped out around 7pm with 3 “pushes.” With the first push, I could definitely feel the difference between her & her brother who was a lot smaller. I honestly thought Jon was pulling me open so I yelled out an “ow!” so he would stop 😂 . Jerah asked if Jon felt her head at this point & he said yes so I knew her head was coming out with the next contraction so I buckled down for the big one. After her head was out, I knew the hard part was done so yes I was all smiles at this point! I breathed the rest of her body out with my final “push” & welcomed Aero Dawn into this world! 🥰 by @moniquemay
