Because of God’s faithfulness Shawn Kennedy is able to live one of his dreams today!

This journey was filled with tests, trials, setbacks, tears, and moments where it looked impossible… BUT GOD.

Shawn’s story is living proof of Jeremiah 29:11, Romans 8:28, Matthew 20:16, and Philippians 1:6.
God’s plan and timing was perfect, even when it didn’t look like it.

Today, on National Signing Day, we celebrate more than a signature, we celebrate perseverance, obedience, resilience, and a God who finishes what He starts.

A couple of weekends ago, I had the opportunity to attend the Freedom In Me Business Showers, and I’m still reflecting on what a meaningful day it was.

Thank you, Donya, for creating a space where entrepreneurs are encouraged, celebrated, and connected with resources that help them grow.

One of my favorite moments was celebrating and watching entrepreneurs receive support and recognition for the work they’re building.

I also enjoyed connecting with so many incredible leaders, learning from the panel, and having conversations about how we can continue strengthening our communities together.

Congratulations to all of the entrepreneurs who were celebrated. I’m excited to see what God continues to do through each of you.

The climb isn’t the testimony. Who you become while you’re climbing is.

There was a time when I believed the testimony would be the promotion, the business, the financial breakthrough, or the moment everything finally came together.

But God has been showing me something different.

The testimony is becoming a woman who trusts Him when the manifestation hasn’t come yet.

Who keeps serving when no one is applauding.
Who keeps building when the vision is bigger than the resources.
Who chooses faith over fear.
Who refuses to quit.

Because long before God changes your circumstances…

He transforms your character.

“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.” — Proverbs 16:3

If you’re in the middle of your climb, don’t mistake the process for a delay.

My first month as an empty nester was more than what I expected. It was full of love, purpose, and discovery.

June reminded me that every ending creates space for a new beginning.

This month, I found myself…

• Building relationships.

• Learning from leaders.

• Growing every day.

• Being strengthened by God’s grace.

• Celebrating my birthday, my faith, my family, my friends and my new beginnings.

• Planning what’s next.

• Celebrating others.

• Launching my son into his future.

Most of all, I discovered that this season isn’t about what I’ve lost. It’s about what God is preparing me to build.

I’m learning to embrace the quiet, create new rhythms, take out the trash and walk confidently into the purpose He’s been preparing me for all along.

Thank you, June, for everything you taught me.

As I reflect on this year, I celebrate God’s faithfulness.

This past year has stretched me, challenged me, humbled me, and grown me. I’ve experienced transitions, victories, losses, lessons, and blessings that reminded me that God is still directing my path. Thx po I’m stepping into a new season with gratitude, expectation, and purpose. Not because I have everything figured out, but because I know the One who does.

I’m grateful for every lesson, every closed door, every opportunity, every prayer answered, and even the prayers that were delayed. They all helped shape the woman I am becoming.

This year, I’m choosing faith over fear, discipline over distractions, peace over pressure, and purpose over performance.

Thank you, Lord, for another year of life, growth, grace, and mercy.

Yesterday I had the honor of meeting Harvey Gantt.

First Black student to integrate Clemson University.
First Black Mayor of Charlotte.
Charlotte’s first Black architect
He was also the planner for the vision of Soul City and once lived in Hidden Valley, right in the Sugar Creek corridor where I now serve and strategize for economic and social transformation.

To meet a man who broke barriers in education, architecture, politics, and civic leadership and who once called this same corridor home. With all the obstacles and challenges we’re facing, yesterday felt like a divine reminder that we are not starting from scratch. We are continuing a blueprint.

Legacy. Leadership. Blueprint.

Grateful to stand on the shoulders of pioneers who helped shape this city and inspired to keep building.

The Invitation was personal. 💌

Have you ever been invited to a party but ignored the invitation because you couldn’t “see” how you’d actually get there? Yet somehow, the host provided EVERYTHING you needed to attend?

That’s exactly what happened at Think Pink 2025.

I didn’t come with a gift, I came to receive, to draw, and to leave behind everything that no longer aligned with who I was and who I am becoming.

My God, my King, my Father invited me into His presence, undistracted, surrounded by sisters who embody true royalty, excellence, love, and humility. 👑✨

Think Pink 2025 was the BEST conference I have ever attended: corporate, professional, or Kingdom. THE BEST! 🔥

INTENTIONAL

Thanksgiving was HARD!!!

So I decided Christmas would be joyous for me! I planned to do something each day for the 12 days leading up to Christmas. What better place to kickoff my Christmas than in NY! Grateful to have my rich best friend with me (I was on her tab 😉).

I promised myself grief would not overtake me and it won’t!!!
