Today is Good Friday. Good Friday celebrates the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
To go into detail, this is what Jesus experienced this day:

-He was spit on and beat.
-Stripped naked and struck in the head multiple times.
-Had a crown of thorns placed on His head that dug into His scalp.
-Was flogged using the Cat o’ Nine Tails and was hit 39 times. These injuries would have taken about 2,000 stitches to close.
-Forced to carry His cross until He physically couldn’t anymore.
-Nailed to the cross. Nails put through the median nerve on the hands and plantar nerves on the feet, causing a shocking sensation in the limbs.
-Struggled to breathe on the cross.
-Complete separation from God, something He had never felt before. It was so intense to the point that He was sweating blood.

If this is what we’re celebrating, why is this day considered good?
And to that I say it’s because of what happened on the 3rd day, which is His resurrection. He defeated death and the death of all of us spiritually, He took our sins and died in the place of us, so that we could gain salvation.

““Therefore, my friends, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭13:38‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Accept the gift that Jesus has given to you and make Him part of your life :)
