Monkeying around in Puerto Plata! 🍌🐒🇩🇴

We spent the day at Monkeyland in the Dominican Republic, and it was one of those excursions that steals your heart. We got to hang out with a family of squirrel monkeys, including three tiny babies. One of them was born just the day before! Pure magic.

But the fun didn’t stop with the monkeys. We also got a peek into traditional DR homesteads and learned all about the locally grown coffee and cacao that the region is known for. We sampled everything (so good!) and had the chance to take some home, with zero pressure and no pushy sales tactics, just warm hospitality and delicious flavors.

If you’re headed to the Dominican Republic and want an excursion that’s unique, family-friendly, and unforgettable, this one is a keeper. Ask me how to add it to your itinerary!

Call me Monkey Lady 🐒

We had the most incredible experience feeding monkeys in DR. They were super friendly and extremely excited to see us. We gave them food and they hopped on our heads and jumped from one head to another.

Highly recommend this excursion if you’re in DR 🌴☀️🙈

I came to see the monkeys, but it looks like the monkeys also came to see me 🐒🌴🇩🇴

A September to remember, but this was my favorite of the month ❣️

RD really said: aquí tienes tus monos 🐵🙉🙊

Mutual curiosity

Apparently, it’s an all-you-can-eat situation.

Sir… we just met 🙈

When they said flying monkeys, I didn’t think they meant literally.

I guess I looked climbable.

He really grabbed my phone and said take a selfie 🤳😂

Nobody move. We’re blending in.

Wouldn’t be me if I didn’t find my way pa’ las montañas⛰️🇩🇴

Mama to Mama, I gotchu gurrrrl ~ no translation needed 🤎

This is how me and my sister fight

A little color never hurt 🌈

Okay… I get it now.

RD, you’re beautiful. 🇩🇴♥️ taken in Monkeyland, Punta Cana by @monkeyland_dr
