…surprise 🥹🤎

Baby Thomas is due March 2027 - and the sweetest part? Our baby is due on my dad’s birthday 🕊️🤎

I lost my dad in October 2021, so I can’t help but feel this is a little sign and gift from him.

These might just be my favourite shelves yet 🍂

A pinch me moment 📸🗞️

I thought I’d introduce myself since I never show the face behind “MonkeyMews”, I’m Imogen, 31, originally from Leicester and moved up north with my husband Ben. We’ve been together nearly 10 years next month. I started this account as a hobby, not really thinking into it but have loved every second of it. @loverusticinteriors was the one who pushed me to start this account. We’ve worked on some incredible bespoke pieces and I have to thank Leann for this ♥️ Not just that but my mum & dad also flipped many houses when I was younger, it was always something I’ve lived and loved in. This is our first home, where Ben proposed, where Otis lives and we are happily married. I’ve worked with some incredible brands, which still amazes me. All the support from like minded home interior lovers, family & friends never goes unnoticed♥️

Anyways, here’s a @manchestereveningnews article on our home *screams*. Thanks to Phoebe for writing this 🥹grateful for this opportunity:

A lot to be grateful for 🤎🍂

Trying to slow down, be present and soak up this season🍂 Celebrating my birthday, embracing all the little changes that come with autumn, and getting more excited to meet our little man 🥹🩵 our navy bear is designed with my dads clothes too, so it feels even more special that he’ll be in his nursery 💙

Happy hump day x

Ad|Our kitchen glow up…FINALLY 🤎🥹

Almost 3 months in the making, transforming our navy kitchen into our dream country-inspired kitchen✨We chose the ‘Relaxed oats’ satin kitchen cupboard paint and ‘Grounded’ for the island from @rustoleumuk

Inspired by @kefihomeco, I’m SO proud of how this turned out, especially because I did it all myself… whilst pregnant🤰🏼

Still can’t believe this is our kitchen 🥹🤎🌿

The Little Shelford Portable Bluetooth Radio by @majorityaudio is the perfect addition to our country-inspired kitchen, combining timeless style with all the practical features we need.

With Bluetooth connectivity, a dual alarm for our sleep and wake-up routine, a portable battery and a headphone jack, it’s as practical as it is beautiful. 🤍

Happy Saturday and long weekend for me as I’ll be celebrating my birthday on Monday🎂 x

“New builds don’t have any character…” 👀

Okay… let us show you ours. 🤎🏡

When we bought our new build, I remember hearing so many people say that new builds can feel soulless, all look the same and don’t have the character of an older home.

But I actually think character is something you create🥹

It’s in the panelling, the wallpaper, the little details, the old-meets-new furniture, the colours you choose, the things you collect and, most importantly, the memories you make inside it.

Our house might be a new build, but we’ve slowly made it feel like ours - cosy, lived-in, full of personality and hopefully a little bit of countryside charm too🤎🍂

So, if you’re someone who’s been told a new build can never have character… consider this your sign to prove them wrong👀✨ Because a house doesn’t need to be 100 years old to have a story🤎
