I draw Desiderium, and mostly 🥞☕️ (彰冬)

Desiderium: “A group that reformed after a devastating loss led to their inability to recover their previous image”
-
After losing spectacularly at the RUSHBEATS event and competition eagerly looking to overthrow them, Vivid Bad Squad hit their peak and struggled to maintain the momentum they used to have before their defeat.

The band is considered a completely separate entity from VBS, their new branding consists of anonymity to ensure they aren’t recognized easily. It’s hard to even make out their faces even during live performances because they rely heavily on backlights to obscure the full view of them. Vivid bad squad had essentially wiped their presence entirely, and only rebranded to Desiderium a year or two later, making it harder to trace their origin. During music videos for covers and songs, they mainly focus on the instruments and visuals rather than the band members themselves. They officially branded themselves as ‘Desiderium’ after Kohane’s return.

-
Akito: lead vocals/guitarist
He alternates lead vocals with Kohane depending on the song, he is one of the faces of the band and in charge of their social media

Kohane: lead vocalist/guitarist
She alternates lead vocals with Akito depending on the song. She is one of the faces of the band and in charge of their music videos

An: drummer/backing vocals
She is a backing vocalist and is their exclusive drum player. She is also often in charge of planning their performance venues

Toya: bassist/backing vocals
He is a backing vocalist and bass player, occasionally synth too. He is in charge of composing the original songs they perform
-
Note: this is meant to be a canon divergence/post canon AU for VBS. While the are originally street artists, they played instruments in their free time and also some relationships and character progressions may play out differently to fit the AU. Most of it will be based on canon though

Queerplatonic An and Toya‼️
-
Sorry yall but this is NOT romantic Antoya or polysquad… I don’t know why I latched onto these two suddenly but like we ball ig. Anyways Akitoya Anhane extras huzzah! Because of course I needed to include them cuz they are my cuties 🥹 i wish I could keep expanding on why I think An and Toya would have such a close relationship in my AU but I don’t wanna do a yapfest cuz I’m lazy so just trust that I have my reasons

Sketch dump time

Man, I really hate not having finished shit.
-
If you’re wondering about the vampire Akito drawing 5 slides in, I did it for a good friend of mine, it’s their Akitoya designs (yeah I know you can see Toya better than Akito, sue me ig 👊)

Light sleeper vs clingy sleeper
-
Based on that one drawing meme that used to be a thing… Akito has gone from sad wet dog thats left alone to “what the fuck” when it comes to Toya sneaking off in the middle of the night during sleepy time for something. I imagine that, while Toya is a light sleeper, Akito is not. So very rarely he will wake up to Toya doing stuff like this but on the off chance he does, this happens

A hypothetical scenario that will never actually come to be
-
I always thought that Toya would hide this side of himself from Akito out of fear of Akito taking things too much to heart when things were never his fault.. in the canon timeline Toya would likely only tell Akito AFTER he heals from his habit, but after listening to this song a few too many times, I wondered what would happen if Akito found Toya one night instead of An
-
Im taking a mega big risk here posting this after getting age restricted but I hope that since there are no active elements of S/H it’ll fly under the radar… I probably won’t make a post with this kind of subject matter for a bit now

Toya tells Akito to play his guitar and he does, no questions asked. ‘‘Tis the life of Shinonome “whatever you say beautiful” Akito.
-
Akito probably: me and my man don’t argue, he tells me I need to join his 8 hour composing session and I do 😔👊

Sorry this one is a tad bland, i think ive been writing lately more than ive been drawing.. 🤔

A burden shared is a burden halved
-
This was meant to be something of a parallel to my An and Toya comic, I love getting my blorbos to trauma bond. Go, my platonic Akikohas!
-
Kohane always tried to be a courageous person, someone who took responsibility for moving Vivid Bad Squad forward. She was also inevitably one of the ones who took it the hardest when they lost their big event. Kohane alone shouldered most of the weight of their loss. Fortunately, Akito, who happened to find her on his way back from the vending machine, probably understood her a bit better than she expected

Finding the motivation to compose can be hard… ☕️
-
I think I’m starting to get a bit good at this atmospheric lighting, maybe, yeah. I don’t know if I really like the way this turned out but I don’t think I would or could have done it another way, so we ball I suppose? Anyways frustrated yoyer be upon ye. Composing a piece is much more difficult when no Aibou.. 💔
