A new piece has just joined my collection: the URWERK UR-101 T-Rex Limited Edition 🦖

Limited to just 100 pieces, featuring an extraordinary 41 mm aged bronze case and URWERK’s signature wandering hours display.

What I love most about this watch is its insane wrist presence. It feels incredibly good on the wrist, and the completely different way of displaying and reading the time makes it even more special.

But the coolest part? Almost nobody knows what you’re actually wearing. And that’s exactly what I love about it. It’s not an obvious watch, it doesn’t need to scream for attention, yet it instantly becomes a conversation piece when someone notices it.

After buying the watch, I also had the opportunity at Geneva Watch Days to meet URWERK founders Felix Baumgartner and Martin Frei. Talking to them gives you an entirely different perspective on time. The way they think about how we divide, display and experience time goes far beyond traditional watchmaking. You start to understand that URWERK isn’t just about creating different watches. It’s about thinking differently about time itself.

Finally, the trio is complete.

These three @chopard L.U.C 1860s are, in my opinion, among the most beautiful, refined and exceptionally crafted dress watches money can buy.

At just 36.5 mm, they are wonderfully understated on the wrist, yet somehow they always have presence. More often than not, they become a genuine “conversation piece” among people who appreciate fine watchmaking.

What makes this trio even more special is that each one has its own personality.

The salmon dial L.U.C 1860, warm, timeless and beautifully classical, with a distinct vintage vibe.

The L.U.C 1860 @revolution.watch Edition, created with @wei_koh_revolution and Revolution and limited to only 50 pieces worldwide, has a unique play of color with its green gold desert tone.

And finally, the newest addition, the Areuse Blue L.U.C 1860, introduced at Watches & Wonders 2026, with its striking blue dial inspired by the Areuse River near the Chopard Manufacture in Fleurier.
