Our Alumni Networking Brunch was one for the books! From catching up with old friends to making new connections, this event was filled with laughter, inspiring conversations, and amazing energy from start to finish.

After a day like this, we have to ask: Should the Alumni Networking Brunch become an annual event? 👀 Let us know in the comments! ⬇️

Today was one of those moments I’ll never forget.

A few years ago, I sat in Dr. Altamirano’s classroom learning about leadership. Today, I stood in front of his students teaching that same topic.

That hit me.

Not because I was speaking, but because the very person who introduced me to leadership trusted me enough to carry that conversation forward.

I’ll be honest, I put a lot of pressure on myself. This wasn’t just another presentation. It felt like my opportunity to show that everything he taught me wasn’t just heard. It was applied.

The biggest lesson he gave me wasn’t about business. It was that the greatest work we’ll ever do is the work we do on ourselves. He challenged me to look within, pay attention to how I was showing up in the world, and intentionally become a better human being.

Leadership isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about having the courage to keep growing, to speak up even when it’s uncomfortable, and to use what you’ve learned to help someone else.

For someone who used to avoid speaking in front of people because I was so shy and introverted, today reminded me how far I’ve come.

Full circle.

Thank you, @profaltamirano ….I hope I was able to pass on even a small part of what you’ve poured into me. taken in Monroe College Gaddy Hall by @monroealumni
