single mom to a baby girl 🤍
the little moments. the hard nights.
for moms doing it on their own.
daily diary. no filters.

POSTS STORIES REELS

What happens in this season doesn’t disappear after birth. It gets written into who that child becomes. How they’ll trust. How they’ll love. How safe the world will feel to them on day one.
So when you’re with her — slow down.
Don’t add to her weight. Don’t make her explain herself. Don’t let her feel invisible in a room full of people.
Because when you choose gentleness with her right now —
you’re not caring for one heart. You’re shaping two.

Be the reason she feels safe during the hardest and most beautiful season of her life. 🤍

Hi. I’m Sarah.

13 weeks pregnant. Alone. No job. And $100,000 in debt my ex left me with before he disappeared.
Five years ago I thought I had everything — a home, a partner, a plan. I was the woman who had it together.
Now I cry in parking lots. I Google things like “can stress hurt my baby” at 3am. I smile at strangers so nobody asks if I’m okay.
Because I’m not. But I’m still here.
I started this page because I needed somewhere that felt honest. Not perfect pregnancy content. Not “healing era” aesthetics. Just a real woman figuring out how to become a mother while she’s still trying to find herself.
If you’re pregnant and terrified — you belong here.
If you’re raising a child alone — you belong here.
If you’re rebuilding after someone left you with the mess — you belong here.
I don’t have answers yet. But I’m asking every question out loud so you don’t have to feel alone in yours.
Follow along. It’s going to be real.

Starting from the bottom and building something better — for her and for me. 🤍

Hi, I’m Sarah, a single mom-to-be in Atlanta. Five years ago, I had it all or so I thought.

Now? I’m 8 weeks pregnant, alone, jobless, and drowning in a $100k mortgage debt he left me with. Who TF did I marry? This is my storytime, stick around.

her little hand on my face.
that’s the part i wish i could keep forever.

not just a photo of it.
the feeling of being right here,
with her looking at me like this.

what’s one tiny thing your baby does that you never want to forget? 🤍

i’m here for the little things.
the way she stretches when she wakes up.
the tiny hand holding my shirt.
the smile i can never catch on camera.

you’re missing more than the hard nights.
you’re missing getting to know her.

what’s one little thing your baby does that you wish you could save forever? 🤍

i know i need sleep.
what i need help with is everything standing between me and it.

what’s one thing someone could take off your plate today?

“you’re so strong” is usually meant kindly.

some nights, though, “i brought dinner” or “leave the dishes to me” would mean so much more.

what’s one small thing someone did that actually made your day easier? 🤍

a few stretches. a deep breath. a little time for myself.

it doesn’t have to be a full workout to be worth doing. today, this was enough. 🤍

by the time someone asks how i am, i’m too tired to explain. so i say “i’m okay” and ask about their day.

anyone else do this? 🤍

i love walking with her. the fresh air helps both of us.

but calling it “me time” still feels strange when i’m the one packing, pushing, watching and worrying.

moms, does a walk with your baby count as self-care yes or no? 🤍

#singlemom #solomom #postpartum #singlemotherhood by @monroesarahhh

fresh air? yes. a change of scenery? definitely.

but “me time”? i’m not convinced.

be honest: does a walk with the baby count as self-care yes or no? 🤍

i wanted my daughter. i also believed i would have a partner beside me.

those two things can be true at the same time.

have you ever felt like you had to prove you love your baby just because you admitted you were tired?
