🌈 One month without my Kookie Jar…..

It’s been a month since I lost a little piece of my heart, and somehow, the words still don’t feel real.

People talk about love at first sight, and I understood it the moment I saw that tiny ball of golden fur running around at Nika’s place. I never knew then how deeply Koko would become a part of my life.

From jumping around the house and chewing everything in sight, to stealing nokuldana and reacting to the word “mitti”, she had this magical way of making everyone smile. And as she grew into the most gorgeous girl, she somehow always knew when I wasn’t okay. A hug, her head resting on my lap, or simply having her around could make the world feel a little lighter.

Koko was also the reason I became closer to Aunty ( @paromita.y14 ). She turned the Bhattacharya’s from my friend’s house into a family I could call my own. Their home became HOME because she was there.

It’s been more than a month since I left my city, and I still don’t know how I will walk into that house again without looking for her wagging tail, her little face, or reaching out to pet her while talking to Aunty.

Some losses can never be replaced. Koko is one of them.

But I choose to believe she’s happy;running around with her sister, creating chaos with Dodo, and being the same beautiful, naughty Kookie she was as a pup🐾

And maybe, someday, at the rainbow bridge, she will come running towards me again, tail wagging, as if we were never apart.

Until then, my Kookie, run free. 🌈
You were never just a dog. You were family. You were a healer. You were home.
You are a piece of my heart. And you always will be. 🤍
