To celebrate our DEATH DAY today (our last day open for the season!!!) we're partnering with our pals at Indie Memphis Film Festival for a fun giveaway! Win 2 tickets to the 1996 horror throwback EMBALMER— screening on Saturday Nov 7 at 10pm at the Indie Memphis Film Festival. "S. Torriano Berry's 1996 black cast, DIY slasher feature is a raw, unapologetically grimy slice of 90s cinema. Shot on 16mm film in Washington, D.C., the narrative follows Chiffon, a deeply troubled teenager who stumbles into the terrifying orbit of Undertaker Zach—a deranged mortician who has transformed his funeral home into a gruesome murder castle to harvest fluids to resurrect his dead family. Operating with an inventive low-fi edge and a heavy hip-hop soundtrack, the film is a visceral, oddly involving horror yarn." To enter: • Follow @monster.market • Follow @indiememphis • Comment here & tag a friend you'd take with you! Enter by midnight tonight— and swing by Monster Market today for our final day before we close at 8pm! by @monster.market

The one I’ve been waiting to drop 💖 Dear Lauren, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for what you’ve built for us freaky weirdos and for the city of Memphis. I personally have never felt so welcomed into something so special. You’ve created such an intentionally curated space where people feel seen, celebrated, and welcomed for being exactly who they are. You’ve been one of my graphic design icons since before I ever got my degree. Getting to work alongside you has been such an honor, and I still can’t believe I’ve had the opportunity to meet one of my heroes and become even more inspired by who you are as a person than I ever could have imagined. You’ve created such a beautiful world. You’ve deeply impacted so many people, myself included. We couldn’t send off 10 years of @monster.market without showing you some appreciation and sharing just a sliver of the love we have for you. I hope you know how much you mean to all of us. Come pay your last respects to Monster Market TONIGHT at the Medicine Factory, with tunes from DJ Witch Hazel! 🪦🤩😈 by @monster.market
