All of my live calligraphy events this year have been for luggage tag or leather foiling and it’s easy to see why - hot foiling is so satisfying to watch, quick, and permanent!

For this event, I was in Aspen for Shaun White’s launch of the first professional snowboarding league, aptly named The Snow League! 🏂There were so many great vendors with fun giveaways, but I honestly think our table stole the show! 🤭

I didn’t start engraving until year 7 of my business. This spring, I had several engraving opportunities that I didn’t want to decline.

So I booked the jobs - and then learned to engrave. In 2 months I made over $4k from engraving alone.

For 7 years I thought I didn’t have time for a learning curve that in reality, took me an hour or two to figure out.

7 years in business!! 🎉 Swipe to see my original announcement for Monstera Gold!

As someone who gets bored easily, the only way I’ve been able to keep doing this is by evolving this business with my life. Wedding calligraphy, live events, maker markets, courses, coaching, podcasting, speaking - I’ve done it all…just not all at the same time 😉

If you’re feeling like you have so many ideas and don’t know where to start, my advice is to focus on what that speaks to you most right now. You can always change your mind. Few decisions are permanent, even though sometimes it can feel that way - which is how we end up staying stuck.

We all build our businesses the same way, one step at a time. Today, I celebrate the steps you’re taking, big and small!
