The Dangerous Few, The Wagoneers, BMI Million-Air Award-winning songwriter, history dork. Deliberately, defiantly, joyful since 1967. Wow is me.

Well Now!!!!.....For the 1st time EVER (as in EVER) Monte Warden and The Wagoneers have a recording on the FIRST BALLOT OF THE GRAMMYS - and, wait for it.... in FOUR separate categories!

Doghouse Flowers -
Best Americana Performance
Best American Roots Song
Record of The Year
Song of The Year

The Wags never once made the 1st ballot even as major label recording artists, but here we are - on a 100% self-release. Plz understand, this is not a GRAMMYS nomination, that's if we make it to the next round of voting, BUT, you hafta be on the First Ballot to get to the Second. We feel such gratitude and humility sharing this.

If you're a voting member of The Recording Academy - we would appreciate your consideration (that's the showbiz lingo we hafta use).

God. Is. So. Good.

Part two of my interview on @dwightyoakam 's "Bakersfield Beat" on @siriusxm dropped today! This snapshot of the playlist marks where I tell a hilarious profanity-laced story of the time Doug Sahm crashed one of my rehearsals. One of my favorite stories ever!

A night at Parker! Drinks before the show, dinner and live music on stage, an amazing show, and a nightcap at Nica right next door.

Parker guests get complimentary cover at Nica, so the night doesn’t have to end with the last song!

A few moments from Monte Warden’s show last night. Join us for a show soon!

SHE SAID YES!!! Congratulations to Brooks and Hailey! He asked her Wednesday, they came out and celebrated at @parkerjazzclub last night with her entire family! Mama hasn't stopped cryin' joyful tears. We are thrilled and love this girl very much, as she loves our Brooksie Boy the most! We've never seen him this happy. They went up to their favorite sunset spot, and he surprised her with the ring (LOOK AT THAT ROCK!). We feel they're a perfect match - both have a great work ethic, ALL they do is laugh, and they wanna build a family (they're already raisin' chickens!) God is so good. No date set, but if I know Brooks, I 'spect they'll be registered at @autozone , @harborfreight ...or a gun store. We've never had a daughter - and are so grateful The Lord saw fit to bring us one so wonderful.

LOVELOVELOVE!!!

The Wags spent the day in Santa Fe, as we make our way home from Taos. It's been an old-school road day, soaking up the town with the lads. We weren't there five min before we heard, "You've gotta be kidding me!?" from across the way. It was Jeremy Bruch, the house drummer from @parkerjazzclub (Dangerous Few there this coming Thursday!) It's a big ol' small world out there!
