Yesterday I competed in the Miss Lubbock-Con pageant for the second time, and I got upgraded from second place to first place! I’ve been waiting for this con to roll around again so I could compete again and hopefully take the crown, and I’m so happy that I was able to fulfill that wish! Here’s a lip/overdrawing tutorial since @alyx_lizard__enthusiast wanted to know my “secrets”
1) Get a good lip liner! Nyx has a great shade range and they’re really affordable and great quality! I also recommend using a lip primer for longevity, and using matte lipsticks, because glossy lips will highlight your natural lip line!
2) Start with your Cupid’s bow. Draw it on in whatever shape makes you happiest.
3) Draw from the corner of your mouth UP to your Cupid’s bow. Don’t draw out horizontally unless you want to make your lips wider. Overdrawing vertically will add a pouty look. (I draw my top lip outwards slightly to even the sides out to match my bottom lip)
4) Draw on your bottom lip using the same mentality as step 3!
5) Fill in the outside portion of your lips with the liner, this creates “depth” or whatever idk I didn’t go to school for math,
6) Add your lip color to the center then blend the two together using a lip brush or a small eyeshadow brush, you can add more lip liner here if you think you might have over blended.

And there you go! Some tips: practice makes perfect, just keep trying different things if it doesn’t look/feel right. Sharpen your lip liner before you start to make sure you get crisp lines, and most importantly have fun and do it for yourself and not because you want to impress other people.
