• i'm trying to be kind to myself, but sometimes i still get scared •

another one ! this one started as a sketch in my friends sketchbook but i loved it so much ! also my first time using coloured pencil in a Long time :)

also i feel like it works really well as a sibling piece to another of my collage paintings

Thank you cypress for letting me draw in your sketchboon and create this piece <3

• its a gift to admit fragility •

i started this piece june of 2024, after a conversation i was very afraid to have. the conversation went well, and i realised then how wonderful it felt to admit my flaws and still be met with love and gentleness.

i didnt start actually painting it until october, and then i put it away busy with other things, but this past week i added the gold leaf and the letters finally.
there's a safety in my life now, that i havnt known before. im still learning this, but everytime my fragility is met with love i realise how lucky i am.

oil, gold leaf, and magazine on canvas
