POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

5th place at WUCC 2026.

FIFTH best women's club team in the World.

How did this happen?

In the pool phase, we had hoped to go out 1st of our pool but had a little reminder from 6ixers 🇨🇦, our first ever non-European opponent, that the level at Worlds is high and that we have to rise even higher.

We did so by beating Ellipsis 🇦🇺 in our Crossover game under pouring rain. Waw, Top 16 was already reached. But maybe we can still do better?

In pre-quarters, we faced our European rivals BFD Shout 🇮🇹 in a huck and D fight against each other and the wind. Did you check those highlight reels 🫠 And yes, we made it to Top 8!!!

Thursday 20/08 Quarters game poster: Mooncup-Tokyo Mavericks 🇯🇵 unfortunately this one ended with a universe point loss after a comeback from the team and a huge crowd that faced the rain to attend our Quarters battle.

Top 8 was one of the most mentioned objectives of the team but we all agreed that we could do better. We rose from our quarter loss and played even more united than before to face 6ixers 🇨🇦 on the same Thursday evening.
Thursday 9pm news: Mooncup wins against 6ixers, is top 6 of the freaking world and will play its last game against Brute Squad 🇺🇸. A dream come true for all of us.

The dream is not over. Mooncup fought and kept fighting until a universe point finish and took the win over Brute Squad.

WUCC 2026 news: Mooncup is 5th of the world and... the ONLY non-USA team to beat a USA team this week across all three divisions.

Road to 5th place :
WIN 15-10 Iceni 🇬🇧
LOSS 11-15 6ixers 🇨🇦
WIN 15-1 To Be 🇭🇰
WIN 15-1 FAB 🇨🇭
WIN 15-12 Ellipsis 🇦🇺
WIN 15-13 BFD Shout 🇮🇹
LOSS 13-14 Tokyo Mavericks 🇯🇵
WIN 14-11 6ixers 🇨🇦
WIN 15-14 Brute Squad 🇺🇸

Huge congratulations @grut_amsterdam for your silver medal and for your performance in the final! Go Europe!

See you in a few weeks for EUCF 🇪🇺👑

One thing is for sure: next year, we want more ✨!

This third consecutive successful European season shows the incredible work this team has put in. And this is only the beginning of an even bigger adventure. From now on, our eyes are set on our very first Worlds Club Championships 🌍🔥.

Thank you physio @blomjournal for coming without even knowing us or the sport. You kept us ready to fight throughout the weekend!

Not one, but two Mooncup teams competed in the Belgian Women’s Final!

Mooncup takes home GOLD and SILVER, along with a golden ticket to the World Ultimate Club Championships 2026 @worldflyingdisc !

The day kicked off with an early morning quarterfinal for Mooncup 2 against the Gentle Ones. It was a hard-fought battle, and Mooncup 2 came out on top with a universe point win, 10-9.

Both teams then played their semifinals simultaneously. Mooncup 1 did their job and secured a spot in the final with a 15-4 win over Spekkies @freespect_ultimate , congrats to them on the bronze medal!

Mooncup 1 then rushed to the sideline to support Mooncup 2, who were fighting for their second victory of the day, and they got it, winning their semi against Wuf 13-10!

With both Mooncup teams in the final, the ticket to Worlds was already ours!
In the final, Mooncup 1 brought their experience and took the win 15-4 over their incredible teammates, who gave everything they had to reach that final and deserve a huge shout-out!

Now, our Road to Worlds 2026 officially begins… #waitforit 🌍🥏
