Meet Gala!
This is the first original design I’ve done in a while. It’s a custom cat OC for my good friend @//fruitguzzler (her user on Artfight). She came to spend the night, and in the morning, I worked on this character with her input. We ended up basing the character off of the themes of apples (hence the name gala) and fawn spots, using a Somali cat to base the general shape off. I like this new semi-realistic style I’ve seemed to inadvertently shift to over the past few months, so I think I’ll be doing more art in that vein :)

Would anyone be interested in adopts/customs in this style? Let me know :3

Today, I tried something fun! I did a live bird (feeder cam) sketching session guided by @ipaintbirbs and finished off by refining and colouring a sketch I made of a female Red-Bellied Woodpecker! I tried my best to capture this girl’s essence, what a beautiful bird to watch and draw. This was super fun and Liz Clayton Fuller is a great artist, narrator and teacher—thank you so much Liz, and thank you to @cornellbirds for setting this up! I learned a lot.

Hi! No big post or reel today but I do have a drawing of a kitty I made. Context for the second slide: I went to see my best friend today and I taught her how to draw a cat. We drew these two from the same reference while sitting beside each other so she could follow along. I had a lot of fun showing her different techniques and I think she’s a natural!!! Her character turned out great and I believe she’ll be putting it up on Artfight (her name is fruitguzzler on there if you’d like to attack her).
My cat was meant to be a drawing of a design I sketched on my phone a few months ago (third slide) but it turned out so visually different I’m just going to make them siblings lol.

Artfight revenge on @zero.saurus!
I had so much fun drawing this fella that now I want to make my own worm on a string OC LOL.
Fun half-related fact, in 2020, I made and ran a group chat called “Fuzzy Worm Disco”. But, as it was 2020, and everyone there was a teenager, often there was panic at the disco, even though I tried to keep it drama free. 🤣 Time flies, can’t believe that was six years ago.
Anyways, loving my new paint markers! Can’t wait to do more art with them!

I made this one a little harder, as you all made it clear I went too easy on you last time 😂 but it isn’t too niche, if you’ve read enough Warriors it should be guessable.

Happy birthday to me!
I’m 21 as of yesterday, July 11th. Every year since I’ve turned 13, I draw a birthday cat on my birthday (usually one of my sonas, feel free to swipe to see them all). So of course, I had to carry on the tradition. I didn’t end up finishing yesterday but I was able to wrap the drawing up today! I learned a lot during age 20… and I feel like I have a better knowledge of myself, my passions, and my priorities turning 21! I’m proud of my growth this year, both my personal growth and growing this account. ☺️
Now, onwards! Thank you to my wonderful family, friends, mutuals and followers for making each year fun and special. 💖

Another colourful sphinx! Made this on a whim with my paint markers. I saw @texastrojanhorse ‘s cats on an Instagram reel so I messaged them for some images and it made for a great reference! I drew their cat named Hecate, so I tried to add a bit of a magical vibe to fit the name. It was fun practice and I’m happy with the result!
