@tam.khong_ freeway dancing All of our cars are static, and most of our cars run coilovers but what about a no-sus rear?? Our usual setup for our event cars suspension is F Coilovers R Poly bump stops + short stroke shocks With the rear of the car body being solid mounted, it makes for a stiff and exciting drive, pause don’t go there. No springs = No-sus But no-sus doesn’t mean just yeet the springs. We run polyurethane bump stops in place of the oem rubber, and use Megan short stroke shocks. So it’s still a quality ride, solid, but good. Also, with the car so low to the ground, the diff and rear sub has been raised, & the gas tank was relocated into the trunk, but even with all that there’s some dips that’ll still get you. If you’re a long time fan of kaido racers and if you know about team BYD, then you’ve most likely seen one of Mizuguchi’s liveries. And you’ve probably seen one of the many threads arguing the order of Mizuguchi’s Specs. For this years @n.a.nonsuri we wanted to celebrate and honor him. He’s not only helped inspire nonsuri builders here stateside, but he has also shipped his Gx61 to USA to be able to participate with us, and has been coming since 2023! @mizuguchi.takao 🎶🎶 He has been an inspiration to many of us over the years and a lot of us have wondered…When, what year, what coloring, what order, etc. Well, wonder no more! Together with Mizuguchi, we were able to put all his specs in order, and get info for each one! Being a long time fan of kaido racers in general myself, I felt excited putting this together, it’s important history imo, and it’s a small way we can help piece that history together. Year 6 let’s go! Welcoming our newest sponsor and supporter @meguiars 🎶🎶 For this years rev competition we will have prizes provided by Team BYD and Meguiars. MLR • Exclusive mx73 We made a grille to go with our Mercedes front headlight swap! The car is undergoing a koenig style transformation and unfortunately it won’t be completed in time for @n.a.nonsuri but it’ll be there in its processing state. BUT no matter, we are all about forward movement and progress. So along with the HL and corner swap, we wanted to make a grill that feels high class, yet sporty, and finally, something us. I feel like this this small project was important to tie in the whole front! Super stoked on the v1 progress, now let’s see how we made it 👉👉👉 Mounting tabs next…lol The original grille we used as a donor. We deconstructed the grille to see how it went together and then proceeded to make our mold. *Fun fact We actually found this grille along with a few other Mercedes parts in a trash box while skating in our neighborhood. As they say, one man’s trash is another’s treasure! Our fiberglass piece is made! I guess this works but we don’t want to just paste something on. So now that we have a good glass base to work with, we get to start cooking up ideas on how to modify it! We start be removing some of the bars inside and making the overall shape less *complex CAD We’re starting to take shape, but it’s still just a flat piece, and it has to many fins. Let’s make some more progress… Building a box using hair Cake batter works best when sculpting, YUM Dry fit at night cuz F this sun! A steady hand and a dremel along with some patience With the shape taking form let’s finalize it and ask the boss what she thinks @moonlightrunners_ms_moon always has the last say “It’s close, and it looks good, but let’s change a few things” Sometimes those words can feel like she tore my heart out! But I know she’s right, that’s why I’m asking for her opinion, so let’s change it up one more time! Finally!! We now have the bones and foundation for our final design for v.1 I think it’s finally here Prep the emblem holder Prep the high quality emblem Dry fit And done! We still have some processing to do but I’m extremely stoked on this small project! I feel it’s really brought the front end together and it’s a genuine MLR p by @moonlightrunners

For this years event, we will have our usual vendors along with special guest @mizuguchi.takao from team BYD based in Hokkaido JP! ✨✨ With the date inching ever closer and registrations still coming in, we plan to close registrations by SEPT 27th ⛔️We will not be accepting day of entrees! ⛔️ We will have Nonsuri on the skid pad all day for you to burn up tires & The Main track will be for parade laps/ ride alongs/ call cutting + NEW picture and skid zone areas. Spectators and walk ins welcomed! ⚠️Spectator parking is outside the track gates ⚠️ Entrance for AVS is $15 Entrance for N.A.Nonsuri $10 Registered drivers don’t pay N.A.Nonsuri fee 🎶 Let’s have a super chill and fun year! Lets give this mx73 another life! During this nasty heat wave we helped out our buddy and teammate @breeze_098 @xj_champuru get his daughters x7 swapped. The base car they got had a healthy engine but the shell had some bad rust, luckily he got a clean base and just needed a transplant. Luckily he had everything needed 😎 Just like our daughters mx73, this will be his daughters first car, and also like our daughter, it’ll be a Haiso styled car! Can’t wait to see what they build! 🫣✨ All in all we’re excited to be able to help out and be apart of this journey, now that the cars running the fun can begin! New headlights, who’s this? I love swapping parts to elevate a build, and in this case for our Koenig style mx73, Mercedes Headlights just make sense! We opted for 190e euro headlights and with the help from @overhead_cam we got some one piece glass lights! Some modifications and brackets to be made but looks like it’s a great fit overall. The exciting part about part swapping is I get to be excited about the junkyards again! Looking to see what cars are there with the parts we need to strip off! But I digress, we got one more piece to the puzzle, and the corner lights and taillights get a second life! Next up let’s make a grille for the car, something classy 😎✨ #Moonlightrunners by @moonlightrunners
