Meet the two people at the heart of my pirate romantasy… well, almost. 👀

I’m revealing their names soon, but for now, I’ll let them introduce themselves:

And from the captain:

“After all is said and done, darling, I am a pirate. And you are on my ship indefinitely.” — D

⚔️ Enemies to lovers.
🫧 Forced proximity.
🎶 A reckless bard.

GUESS THE TITLE! 🏴‍☠️🌊

I woke up to 1,700 fellow readers and authors today, and honestly, I never thought people would be interested in what I have to write.

It really means a lot to this girl who is turning 40 this year, reinventing herself, and stepping into a completely new chapter. 🥹

So thank you for being here. 🙏😭

And because you've helped me reach this milestone…

When we hit 2,000 followers, I'll reveal the title of my pirate romantasy. 🏴‍☠️✨

For now, it's hiding in plain sight on the map. 🗺️✨

Any guesses? 👀

And yes… their actual names are coming soon, too. 😉

Vulnerable WIP post 🌊😭

For years, I've felt lost. I've spent a lot of time wondering where I was going, who I was becoming, and whether I'd somehow lost pieces of myself along the way.

This year, I got a wild hair to write the stories drifting in my head. I've written books and manuals about astrology, moon cycles, crystal healing, I've even written an oracle deck that's no longer in print. But I've never written fantasy worlds. Honestly, I have no idea what I'm doing.

But somehow creating these fantasy worlds, bringing my characters to life, and writing the scenes that I've daydreamed about - putting pen to paper, I started finding my way back to myself.

So this is for anyone who has ever felt a little lost or adrift.

Maybe the thing calling you forward is also the thing that brings you home. 🖤🌊✨

Y’all, I’m tired. 😂🏴‍☠️

I am fighting for my life to get this first draft done. Do any other writers relate? 😅

I actually have about 9 more chapters to write! 🤯😱

I’m just a little indie author writing about pirates, prophecies written in the stars, characters drowning in too many secrets, and a reckless bard who refuses to stick to my outline.

It has been an adventure!

Welcome aboard my chaotic writing journey. 🌊🎶

Honestly, I'm a little nervous to post this, but these are some of the thoughts constantly swirling in my head.

But I have to remember I am doing this for little Marissa, my daughter, and my son.

We can do hard things 💪

Keep writing. Your words are important 🫶

He's a storm-worn pirate with too many secrets. 🏴‍☠️

She's a lonely traveling bard who feels lost and forgotten. 🎶

And somehow, the tides keep pulling them closer… straight into a storm neither of them can outrun. 🌊

Two very different worlds live in my head at the moment.

An oceanic world where the magic is slowly dying, and a crystalline world slowly being overtaken by mist… and whatever is lurking underneath. 🌊💎

A lonely traveling bard who thinks she’s been forgotten, and a gentle young woman hiding who she really is.

A calculating pirate who makes morally gray decisions, and a vampire mage who shuns what he is.

Honestly, I couldn’t choose. So I’m writing them both.
🌙🔮⚔️🏰🌊

Obviously, I’m focused on finishing my pirate book first, but I’m so excited to dive into my other world very soon and really get to know these characters.

If you want to follow along with both Project: Seasalt and Project: Moondust, sign up for my newsletter through the link in my bio. I’ll be sharing updates, behind-the-scenes bits, and you can be one of the first people to meet my other delicate yet resilient FMC. 🥹

A reckless bard. A morally gray pirate captain. One very questionable heist. 🌊🏴‍☠️

My pirate romantasy is full of forced proximity, enemies-to-lovers tension, slow-burn romance, found family, pirates, sirens, and a whole lot of yearning.
