↳ if i could give you the moon was such a fun mix of romance, mystery, family secrets, and a little bit of magic. i loved the tension between Chanel and Ares, the vision forcing them to work together even when they don’t exactly trust each other, and the slow-burn romance has me giggling kicking my feet. miss ann liang sure knows what she's doing 🫶🏼✨

↳ another day another ms ana huang slay!
the rivals dynamic between maya and seb had me hooked from page one until the end, the plot twists and the letter were just perfect, and i can't lie, i was crying by the end because oh my god THEY ARE SO CUTE?! fantastic, give me a 100 more thank you.

also i can't believe there is only one book left in the series. i'm so excited but i don't think i'm ready to say goodbye to these characters!

↳ i'm finally done with the series!!! (novellas as well) and i have no other words than that it was hell of a ride and every moment was worth it. and that ending of "believe me"? yes yes and yes, literally the perfect ending to the whole series. i kept procrastinating reading shatter me because of how hyped it was, and safe to say i totally get it now heheh. (currently reading the spin off series because i just can't get over the characters, i'm NOT ready to say goodbye to juliette or aaron or kenji)

↳ a song to drown rivers is based on the chinese legend xishi, who is one of the ancient china's four beauties. the book follows xishi's journey to save her kingdom yue as a spy by using her beauty as a weapon, under the guidance of Fanli, advisor and strategist to the king of yue.

from a small village, all xishi's known was silk, hardships from war, loss and her family. yet when the king's advisor comes knocking on her door one day, xishi's life becomes intertwined with war, politics, revenge, love and sacrifice overnight.

the book broke me in ways i never expected. xishi’s story isn’t just about beauty or war; it’s about how a single choice can change the course of a life, how loyalty can become a burden, and how love can be both salvation and suffering. if you are looking for a beautifully tragic story (like me :'D), a song to drown rivers is just perfect.

↳ "home isn't a place. home is the people who love you most, the people who will always love you, forever and ever, no matter what."

the naturals follows a group of elite fbi teenagers with special abilities as they solve different kinds of serial murders, with cassie hobbes, narrating the story as the main character.

as someone who is quite literally obsessed with criminal minds, the naturals series was basically reading episodes out of cm. i devoured all the five books in a span of two weeks, and i can't get enough of them. readers block after this? never heard of her. but i NEED more of cassie, dean, lia, sloane and michael because i simply cannot get over them.

↳ funny story by emily henry cured my reading slump, and that pretty much tells everything you need to know about this book :D

i'll forever be a romance reader, and when it comes in forms of heartbreak and discovering yourself as well as falling in love with the people that brings the best of you, there's no legitimate reason to look the other way.

funny story is about daphne and her rewriting her story after being betrayed by her (ex)fiancé, and discovering new things in life and the town she's living in, along with her new roommate miles. miles also happens to be the ex boyfriend of the woman daphne's fiancé left her for, and together they make a plan to move on from the heartbreak of their exes while having adventures of their own and making the said party jealous.

this book might just be my favourite read from 2025 so far, i've loved every moment from this book. i've been in a reading slump for a while now, and ms emily and her ways with words are so good it quickly reminded me why i love reading so much. if you are looking for a cute, opposites attract and friends to lovers with a bit of forced proximity, heartbreak and drama, you should definitely give funny story a read ✨

↳ i'm so late for posting this but of course, ana never disappoints with her books so there's no chance of me skipping a book of hers.

kai young has been my best kos man,, and i still and will always love kai very much, but i'm afraid xavier pulled up and has stolen the best man title from kai.

xavier had to transition from party boy to a real fking man overnight and his character development is quite admirable (although there were certain moments where i wanted to rip his head off lmaoo) and sloane— i adore everything about her. who wouldn't want to be a rich, strong and independent woman who leaves the impression that she has her whole life put together?

sloane and xavier are so different in many ways, but as they say, opposites attract. and we all need a little "opposites attract" trope in our life, i love them so so much.
