October 10th…save the date! 💌 It’s crazy to think about how much we have learned and grown since our very first market 10 years ago. I remember nervously arriving at the Midtown Cinema parking lot on October 1st 2016 (@hbgflea) with the hope that we would sell a few candles. We did more than that, we joined a community of vendors and people who supported local creative entrepreneurship. Hearing feedback and support that day gave us the drive to keep making candles—and ultimately shaped our journey to where we are today. We can’t wait to keep sharing memories and reflecting on exciting moments from the past decade, but we also have exciting news to share… We are officially opening the new Moonrise studio & retail shop on October 10th! At 309 3rd St in New Cumberland you can shop, take a candle making class, or stop by and just enjoy the ambiance ✨ In the retail area you can pick up candles, handmade gifts, and plants from our personal collection. We will be hosting candle making classes in the new studio monthly (Fall/Holiday schedule will be shared soon). And we will still be in studio #104 at the Millworks, so stop by anytime and say hi 👋 Our housewarming is happening from 10am-6pm. There will be light refreshments, studio tours, music, and of course…candles! Please RSVP in the link in our bio, so we can plan to have enough snacks and drinks. Waking up from social media hibernation to share BTS from our 12 days of Moonrise campaign 😴 It was such a fun project bringing this advent calendar to life!! From early concepts imagined by our lovely summer intern ✨Lena Bubnis ✨, to Alexander drawing up designs for a full sized calendar with 12 doors… it’s safe to say everything ended up as it was meant to 🗓️ Dreaming big is always part of the process and it’s only possible with the love and support we receive from you all <3 Can’t wait to see what we come up with in 2026 🌙🕯️ by @moonrisecandle

Earlier this year, we had the honor of working with some folks at Fort Hunter Mansion to create a candle inspired by their on-site historical garden! The candles are available in the Museum Shop now for all those who visit 🌸 Based on her journal entries and early photos, the garden is tended to every year to mimic how it was kept by the last lady of the house in 1932, Helen Reily. Peony, Rosemary and White tea are the prominent scent notes we chose to represent the beautiful garden Mrs. Reily kept as well as the tea parties she hosted there, bringing community into the garden. We finally made it over last week to see how the garden was blooming and to capture some photos of the candle amongst the greenery🪴 We had such a blast with this project and getting to walk around the grounds getting some beautiful shots. Highly recommend visiting the Fort Hunter Mansion if you can make it!
