Je croyais voyager pour découvrir le monde.

Avec le temps, j’ai compris que je voyageais surtout pour me retrouver 🦋

Le voyage m’a appris que l’on peut parfois se sentir plus chez soi à l’autre bout du monde que dans les endroits que l’on connaît depuis toujours.

Qu’une conversation avec un inconnu peut nous marquer davantage qu’un monument ou qu’un paysage pourtant magnifique.

Que les plus beaux souvenirs sont rarement ceux que l’on avait prévus.

Et surtout, il m’a appris à retrouver cette partie de moi que la vie adulte fait parfois taire.

Celle qui s’émerveille pour un coucher de soleil.
Celle qui ose dire oui à l’inconnu.
Celle qui rit un peu trop fort.
Celle qui se laisse porter par l’instant.
Celle qui court sur une plage sans se demander si elle a l’air ridicule.

Pour être honnête, je ne sais pas encore exactement où est ma place dans ce monde.

Mais chaque voyage m’aide à me rapprocher un peu plus de la personne que j’ai envie d’être 🦋🩵

I used to think I travelled to discover the world.

Over time, I’ve come to realise that I travel mainly to find myself 🦋

Travelling has taught me that sometimes you can feel more at home on the other side of the world than in the places you’ve known all your life.

That a conversation with a stranger can leave a deeper impression than even the most magnificent monument or landscape.

That the most beautiful memories are rarely the ones we’d planned.

And above all, it has taught me to rediscover that part of myself that adult life sometimes silences.

The part that marvels at a sunset.
The part that dares to say yes to the unknown.
The part that laughs a little too loudly.
The part that lets itself be carried away by the moment.
The part that runs along a beach without wondering if she looks ridiculous.

I don’t yet know exactly where I belong in this world.
