🥳Celebrating 5 Years on Bookstagram🥳

It is hard to believe that I made my very first post on this account 5 years ago. Since then I have posted numerous book reviews, interacted with so many book loving people and grown my TBR like CRAZY!

This has been an amazing space for discussions, inspiration and an amazing creative release for me that I never knew I needed.

Thank you all for coming along on my reading journey and being a part of it! So excited to continue to build relationships and express myself for another 5 years!! by @moore.reads

💙👦📖Proud Mom Moment📖👦💙

I spent the first couple of years hearing how much my son looked like my husband, but I love that his hobbies are aligning with mine.

We end every night reading books. And he loves to stop at Little Free Libraries whenever we go by one. We are lucky to have 3 near us!

And one day, I'll finally get mine up in my yard, too! 🤗

The largest part of my personality is reading, but over the last several years speed puzzling has grown as another part of me.

Today, myself and 3 other friends finally took 1st place at our local library (we have been placing second for a while).

This is in preparation for our first WI State Speed Puzzling competition in 2 weeks, that we are so looking forward to.

Also, love this as it supports local library programming AND we got Barnes and Noble gift cards as prizes. Puzzles + Bookish = 🥰

QOTD: What are your hobbies outside of reading?
Or how long do you think it took us to finish this puzzle? ⏳️

🕵‍♀️Book Review🕵‍♀️

💻Murder At The Grand Alpine Hotel by Lucy Foley
✍️Published September 22, 2026

📘BOOK REVIEW

The Grand Alpine Hotel is a luxurious getaway in the Swiss Alps, where it seems like the worst thing that can happen would be a potential avalanche leading to a snow-in. But it seems there are some people who are at the hotel for something more than just a winter holiday.

When a body is found, and a blizzard snows the occupants of the hotel in, several people step in to attempt to figure out who may be the killer. One such investigator is the quiet, but calculating, Miss Marple. Can she figure out who the murderer is before anyone else is killed?

🙋‍♀️MY THOUGHTS

Lucy Foley does an amazing job continuing on Agatha Christie's Miss Marple character, while also weaving in her own viewpoints. It felt like I was reading a classic Christie novel, but with some modern twists.

I also really enjoyed the multiple perspectives and the mis-direction from each character. I had suspected part of the unveiling at the end, but not the full scope of the deception. If you enjoy locked room mysteries and grew up with the love of Agatha Christie's storytelling, this is the read for you.

Thank you William Morrow, NetGalley, and Lucy Foley for this eARC in exchange for my honest review.

📚Pub Day Book Review📚

💻The Memory of Borrowed Books by Meg Anderson
✍️Published: October 6, 2026

📙BOOK SUMMARY

Librarian Claire Ashford keeps to her neat and orderly, though isolated life. But when there is talk that the library is going to be shut down, everything she loves feels threatened. Then one day, a new door appears in the library. A door that holds all of the memories of the library patrons over the years.

Claire feels the library is trying to help show her a way to save it. As she begins to look through the books filled with others memories, she keeps being drawn to one story. A story she feels holds the answer to her problems. And potentially holds a memory she has tucked away for years.

🙋‍♀️MY THOUGHTS

I absolutely devoured this book over a single weekend. I loved the magical realism, the connection to a library (who doesn't love a good book about books?), and the story of Claire learning about herself. All the elements come together for a beautifully written and heartwarming store.

There are so many engaging and lovable characters along with all of the beautiful memories that live in all libraries. I look forward to reading more by this author in the future!

Thank you Sourcebook Landmark, NetGalley, and Meg Anderson for this eARC in exchange for my honest review.

📸Shelfie Sunday - Netgalley Edition📸

I have tried to be much more aware of what I think I can finish in a month and decreased the amount of requests since I started.

Currently, I am only 1 review behind...and hope to finish that up today. And then have some fast upcoming releases to finish and review!

Also, plenty I am waiting to hear back on (amd keeping my fingers crossed!! Some are already off NetGalley, but I avoid withdrawing my request and just wait to it to finally enter denied.

QOTD: What book are you most excited to read off your approved NetGalley shelf? Or which book are you most excited to hear back from on approval status?

💰Book Review💰

📖/🎧Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan
🎙Narrated by Lynn Chen
🎉🍬Popsugar Reading Challenge Prompt 2026: A Book About A Bachelorette Trip

QOTD: What is your favorite way to read books - eBook, physical book or audiobook?

📘BOOK SUMMARY

Rachel Chu has been invited by her boyfriend, Nicholas Young, to spend their summer in Singapore, meet his family, and learn about his life before moving to the US. But Rachel is unaware of the vast fortune that Nicholas' family holds and the world, so different from hers, that they inhabit.

As Rachel meets close family and friends in the richest circles of Singapore, she soon realizes that this is a world she may not want to be involved with in the future - despite her true love for Nicholas.

🙋‍♀️MY THOUGHTS

This was an interesting book that made me feel content to where I am in life, the family I was born into, and the family that I married into. Call me lucky, but all are places I want to be! I, like Rachel, would never have been able to fit in with most of the people she was forced to interact with. Which made it a bit easier at times to put myself in her shoes when reading.

In terms of the book, it was a very easy book to listen to, and nothing to use too much thought on. The ending, though, doesn't feel like much of a resolution. This is likely due to there being additional books in this series. I may revisit the subsequent books in the future, but I don't currently feel compelled to continue the story at this point in time.

🐉Book Review🐉

📖The Girl Who Lived Twice by David Lagercrantz
✍️Translated by: George Goulding

QOTD: What are you currently reading?

📗BOOK SUMMARY

Lisabeth Salander has turned her attention to hunting down her sister and putting an end to her. Meanwhile, Mikael Blomkvist has been called by the coroner to potentially identify a homeless man who was found with his phone number in his pocket.

From there, Mikael is pulled into a world of Mount Everest expeditions and prominent political figures. But when Mikael asks for help from Lisabeth, their two worlds collide again - leaving them both in danger.

🙋‍♀️MY THOUGHTS

It has been a while since I have read this series and unfortunately this book did not drive me to want to read any more. I feel like the story was mostly focused around Mikael, but I would have enjoyed more from Lisabeth. Or more with them interacting together. It felt like their stories were barely connected, or in the loosest way possible.

There were some interesting and thrilling parts, but just not enough to make it a page-turner for me. This series will have to end as incomplete for me.
