Finished! AFI, 12x16 white charcoal and colored pencil on black paper❤️ This took a few months, and listening to their new album and everything else by them while completing this made my heart happy. Oh and by any slim small chance any of them see this and read this caption, thank you for Burials, which has been my cathartic companion on repeat (probably too loud in my ears) as I navigate the end of a very long relationship and return to myself again. Music indeed is very healing. Hope I have done them justice.

I’m thinking I may do more like this…perhaps for their previous albums as well? 🤔

Finished drawing: Davey Havok of AFI. Yes, I have drawn him before, yes there will be more; AFI’s music has been pretty healing recently so this is my way of saying thank you.❤️ Swipe for the main reference photo I used and progress shots if you like. I changed the lighting and I needed hand practice so I changed hand position as well (requiring more reference photos). Procreate says this took 20 hours to complete. Working on a big “analog” drawing of all the band members but that takes much longer. Truly hope I have done him justice in his current badass look, thank you for your support! ❤️ Thank you @mattmezzatesta for the reference photo I used!

It’s been a bit of a rough week..but drawing and music are both good distractions. I’ve been really into AFI as of late (fan for a while but I just saw them in concert so now I’m down the rabbit hole). Davey Havok is a chameleon and AFI’s sound and look changes each album. So what I’m saying is there will be a lot of AFI art forthcoming so buckle up everyone. This one was drawn in Procreate, but there will be a mix of digital and analog art coming. Swipe for the original reference photo as I’ve changed a few things to challenge myself as well as progress if you like. Thank you for your support!

It’s my work wifey’s birthday so I stalked her socials and found a cute picture of her sweet puppers to draw for her. This is Zadie, a sweet, social, and very smart doggo, rendered in graphite, 9x9 ❤️ by @mootheloon

Oh Catherine O’Hara…you will be missed, talented lady. My tribute to her as one of my favorites, Moira Rose in Schitt’s Creek, painted in Procreate. Hope I have done her justice ❤️

It has been a WHILE. Between kittens, work, life, etc sneaking in some drawing time has been hard. This was painted in Procreate and is an homage to the @appletv show Foundation. These are the 3 brothers Dawn, Day, and Dusk. I hope I have done them justice. Thank you for your support!

Been busy lately so art has been scarce but I did work on this one for my brother for Christmas, who is a firefighter/paramedic. He opened it yesterday so I can post now. 5x10 in colored pencil. ❤️

A repost of some of my favorite Stranger Things drawings I did in procreate after the season 4 ending to celebrate the start of season 5! The first 2 are a combination of 2 reference photos and some artistic liberty. FYI we binged all 4 eps tonight.

It’s been a while…life just gets busy. I painted this in Procreate for my youngest daughter, who knows the entirety of Hamilton she’s listened to it so much!

It’s been a while…between work and kitties it’s been a little crazy and haven’t had much time. Here’s a digital of Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie Bradshaw. I just finished And Just Like That and now am rewatching the old Sex and the City eps. Hopefully things will settle down soon and art will happen more!
