Fall 2026 Exhibitions

Chelsea Culprit
September 19 — November 7

Created in locations throughout Mexico, the works presented in "Asherah Grove" take inspiration from objects that belong to the archeological records of the Levant, the Mediterranean, Mesopotamia, Old Europe, and the late Stone Age. If it is the historian and classicist’s task to wring meaning from these artifacts, Chelsea Culprit’s practice instead saturates them with new uses, through the nimble play of speculative imagination.

Becky Kolsrud
November 21 — January 9

Becky Kolsrud’s "Missing Chunks" is both an exhibition of paintings, a set for a performance, and the aftermath of that activity. Drawing upon the artist’s research into found materials surrounding pregnancy, maternity, and new-age wellness, Kolsrud excavates the pluripotency of the female form.

We are happy to share that George Herms is a central focus of the upcoming exhibition "Dictation from the Other Side," curated by Laura Whitcomb, at Karma Gallery, opening tonight in Los Angeles.

The show features an iron sculpture from the historic 1961 Batman Gallery exhibition, love cards created with Paul Beattie, his collage "Juggler," and other rare MC Press items exhibited at his 2016 Centre Pompidou show. Centered around an installation of George starring in a film about Paul Beattie, the exhibition also includes rare books from the Sabian symbol release. He's presented in a room dedicated to his close friendships with Beattie, Berman, Cameron, and others—relationships that shaped so much of his practice.

He is exhibited alongside Gertrude Abercrombie, Sara Kathryn Arledge, Paul Beattie, Wallace Berman, William S. Burroughs and Steven Lowe, Eugenia P. Butler, Cameron, A. Burton Carnes, Bruce Conner, Enrico Donati, Renate Druks, Esteban Francés, Madge Gill, Juanita M. Guccione, Ian Hugo, Aleksandra Ionowa, Louise Janin, Ted Joans, Jacqueline Lamba, André Masson, Roberto Matta, Michael McClure, Arthur Monroe, Grace Pailthorpe, Paulina Peavy, Betye Saar, Kurt Seligmann, Harry Smith, Marian Spore Bush, Beatrice Wood, Anna Zemánková, Joanne Ziprin, Lionel Ziprin, and Unica Zürn. Together, these artists are tied by their practices as “channelers”—figures who gave form to signals from beyond this world.

We are pleased to present “From Now On,” an exhibition of photographs from the Yale School of Art MFA photography class of 2026 (@yalephoto), curated by Farah Al Qasimi (@frequentlyaskedquestion), opening this Saturday, from 4-6pm.

The nine artists featured in this show include Christian Badach (@c_badach), Jasmine Clarke (@jasmineclarke0), Faith Couch (@blackpowerprincess), Christopher Postlewaite (@christopherpostlewaite), Olivia Reavey (@oliviareavey), John Shen (@jcklbyfsh), Em Wall (@emwall), Andrew Warner (@andywarning), and Chen Xiangyun (@humanbeef).

The photographs in “From Now On” range from the punk subculture of Philadelphia to LGBT kinship, U.S. reserve officers to the limits of the body, intimate quotidien interiors to the pitfalls of the American dream. The works also explore themes of faith, family, and leisure. The artists, while diverse in their subject matter and approach, all demonstrate the breadth of possibilities within the medium of photography. “From Now On” is rooted in the deep investment these artists have made in each other as contemporaries, and marks the opening of a new chapter.

We are excited to announce the gallery representation of Claire Chambless. We first presented Chambless's work in the summer of 2025, followed by her solo exhibition, "Spleen," later that year. The exhibition marked an important moment in the development of her practice and resulted in the placement of works in the permanent collections of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art; Los Angeles and Hammer Museum, Los Angeles; and Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, among others. Chambless's work is currently featured in "Directionless," a group exhibition curated by Rashid Johnson, at Hauser & Wirth Menorca, opening June 21, 2026. rocky’s matcha is excited to present 𝘊𝘪𝘳𝘤𝘭𝘦 𝘏𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘦 (2026) by Oscar Tuazon.

Oscar Tuazon’s 𝘊𝘪𝘳𝘤𝘭𝘦 𝘏𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘦 (2026) extends a practice that has consistently tested the thresholds between sculpture, architecture, and lived environment. This translation recalls the spatial logic of traditional Japanese tea houses, whose architecture is inseparable from ritual, temporality, and philosophical orientation.

Commissioned by rocky’s matcha and activated through traditional Japanese tea ceremonies, the installation is both artwork and a functional environment.

𝘊𝘪𝘳𝘤𝘭𝘦 𝘏𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘦 (2026) debuts Tuesday February 24, 2026 at Morán Morán and will remain on view during regular gallery hours.

Tuesday – Friday, 10 AM – 6 PM

‘Afflict the Comfortable, Comfort the Afflicted’ by Cauleen Smith offers visitors a layered sensory experience of her world-building, experimental projects that unfold in atmospheric installations.

Short films and videos interact with drawings, sculpted objects, colourful textile banners and the sonic in this expansive exhibition.

In her first solo presentation on the continent, the Los Angeles-based filmmaker and multidisciplinary artist invites us to embrace the utopic possibilities of radical generosity, imagination and collective care.

Visitor Tip: Move slowly through the galleries. Take in the moving images, unique objects, changing light, colours and epic soundscapes.

We are thrilled to announce "Afflict the Comfortable, Comfort the Afflicted," a major survey exhibition by Los Angeles–based artist Cauleen Smith. Curated by Thato Mogotsi, Curator of Contemporary Art at Zeitz MOCAA, the exhibition opens on November 20, 2025 and runs until Sunday, October 4, 2026.

In her first major presentation on the African continent, Smith’s world-building projects come together in atmospheric installations that offer visitors a layered sensory experience. Short films and videos interact with drawings, sculpted objects, colorful textile banners and the sonic in an expansive exhibition that meditates on the artist’s ongoing concern with Black experimental cinema, Afrocentric aesthetics, Black feminism and the emancipatory uses of the utopic. Smith’s decades-long practice merges her interests in jazz and literature, spirituality, feminism, Afrofuturism and what she calls "…the everyday possibilities of the imagination."

Curator Thato Mogotsi explains: "...[the exhibition] extends beyond a survey of Smith’s practice; it’s an invitation to imagine generosity as a radical act. Smith’s work demonstrates how rarely engaged archives – explored through the moving image and the sonic – can offer unlikely moments of relation, refuge and resistance. In bringing her world to Zeitz MOCAA, we also foreground a dialogue about how Black imagination continues to shape the ways we see, feel, and gather—across time, and across geographies."
