It’s essential for every husband and wife to pray for their spouse. While we each face battles both individually and collectively, prayer may not always change the situation, but it places it in the hands of our Heavenly Father. ⁣⁣

He can sit WITH me without sinking WITH me. 💛

I’ve been in a tough place lately, and Q has reminded me that I don’t need him to feel everything I feel. I need him anchored in Jesus.

Sit with me. Pray for me. Then remind me what God said when my feelings get loud.

Marriage will teach you REAL quick that love is not just about finding the right person. It’s about becoming the kind of person who knows how to love well. 💛

• Apologize without the “but.”
• Say what you need instead of expecting them to know.
• Stop trying to win every argument.
• Let God deal with what marriage exposes in YOU.
• Calm down before you say something you’ll have to clean up later.
• Stop keeping score.
• And please hear us on this one: your spouse cannot be everything for you.

They are a gift. But they are not the Source. God is our source!

Healthy marriage isn’t codependency disguised as closeness. It’s two whole people, dependent on Jesus, learning how to become one without losing themselves in the process. And listen, We’re still learning too. 💛
