POSTS STORIES REELS

I totally forgot to post my chaise lounge commissions from this summer.

For these I measured the chairs, built a pattern, decided to waterfall them, and worked with Michael to pick out materials.

These used a powered coated material to make them durable for the outdoors. by @morebymace

For those who have been asking about alterations!!

BRING BACK BEING CORNY!!!!!

The coolest thing you can be today is yourself. You are dynamic and ever changing. Let yourself be imperfect. Embarrass yourself. Make a fool of yourself. Make jokes that don’t land.

So this is my journal setup for the year
I have my planner and my journal and my mom just found a laminator at the thrift store.
SCORE!
I made this A5 journal cover with sling material that I can put replacement binders, planners, sketchbooks, whatever in.

Vertical collages from my solo collage extravaganza 8/6/2026 by @morebymace

For the first time this whole summer I slept in till almost noon, then I spent the next 13 hours collaging, simply because I felt like it. Here are some horizontals

Here is a a set of 4 commercial restaurant seats. (Seats not pictured because foam hadn’t arrived yet) They are a brown vinyl and there were 4 backs and 4 seats, with Velcro on the backs. I did a tabbed zipper on the back, topstiched with a beige thread to accent. Itop stitched the bodies with a matching brown thread. I wrapped the foam fillings with Dacron and stuffed them(which may be the hardest part)

It’s crazy to think that my work is in peoples homes, restaurants, hospitals, and places of worship. by @morebymace

LAST PROJECT AT WORK

I just wrapped up my job as an upholstery seamstress for the summer! I’ve learned so much and really improved my craft.

Here’s the last project I did which is a vinyl boat cushion replacement with welt. There was no zipper and it was puffed so I did a tiny top stitch which tucks in on the blanks. by @morebymace

Slouchy, boxy, leather tote I made for school!

The outer body pieces are uncoated buck hide and the darker brown exterior is a leather French seamed at the center base, both of which were remnants from the upholstery shop I work for. I lined this bag and fabricated the straps with an orange suede and sealed it with waterproofing. The inside pockets are made of the same buck hide from the exterior.

And yes I made my mom take these pictures outside of my garage.

Art for arts sake.

My friends and I did some collaging at breakfast at the lake this weekend. It’s so therapeutic creating with no intention of a particular outcome. We have to perform in every aspects of our lives, putting so much pressure on the simplest of tasks. As if the quality of a simple collage defines anything about you.

I liked the way the colors came together here. This feels a bit like where I am in life, constant transition, untied loose ends. And that’s okay, I can still center myself with the ground below me shifting. by @morebymace

Taking apart a cushion, using the pieces as a pattern, adjusting it to add a zipper in the boxing.
