wedding looks night two: shabbat dinner

sometimes you pick an outfit with a specific event in mind and sometimes you plan an event with a specific outfit in mind. for our wedding shabbat, it was the latter. as soon as i tried on this dress, the ideas for the decor started outpouring.

i can’t pick favorites but i fell in love with this dress within seconds and knew it needed to drape through a sea of intertwined tables overflowing with gorgeous florals & grapes

@rodrigomorarm and i spammed each other with inspiration and he worked his magic bringing this vision to life better than i could’ve ever imagined

wedding looks night one: our berberisca

my husband’s family is moroccan so when it came to planning my berberisca/henna look, i knew i wanted to have a lot of fun with it. there were a ton of directions i wanted to take this in but i found a cult gaia top and silk skirt in LA that i fell in love with and it all began there. something still felt incomplete though.

my second, moroccan dress was hand embroidered by my husband’s grandmother and the crown was hand beaded my mother in law to replicate the outfit women in their family have worn in their berberisca for many many generations. i’m a lover of all things cultural and traditional so this idea really stuck with me. the idea of wearing something so symbolic excited me beyond words.

after months of inspiration, i had the idea of taking the dress my sister wore during her berberisca (her husband is also moroccan 🤍) and incorporating it into what would be the first night of my wedding weekend. immediately i knew @ashleystambouli would be the perfect person to take my vision and run with it. after only one fitting, we finalized the idea and it came out even better than i could’ve dreamt

lastly, my aunt @marysolk lent me my grandmother’s jewelry to keep her close on my special day and tie the whole look together. i loved having a little piece of so many different family members incorporated throughout the look - made it extra special for me 🤍 by @morestylethings
