Working at the 24 hours of Nurburgring was one of the coolest and most challenging experiences of my life.

When I arrived at the track I took a moment to sit in the grandstand with a German beer and just appreciate where I was… then I got to work.

Three days of filming, editing, hiking, and camping in heavy rain with zero degree nights at the biggest and most demanding track in the world… without a moped or car. I relied on shuttles and a lot of walking to get around the 25km track.

There were 352,000 people in attendance across the weekend, an all-time record, and likely due to the “Verstappen effect”.

On race day, I stayed up for 36 hours. I captured the grid walk and the green flag at turn one, then I hiked 2km to the Karussell, and then back in the dark. I witnessed the magic of fireworks, racing, and techno at Brunchenn. I rode out the freezing cold midnight editing in the media center, then headed to Hatzenbach for a magnificent sunrise.

This event tested me in every way and I learned so much. I met some great people along the way and I look forward to more challenges ahead. Next stop: the 24 hours of Le Mans! by @morgan.raynal
