Words can’t describe the pain of losing your younger brother. I wish I could go back and hug him. Tell him I love him on more time. Talk to him one more time. And as much sadness and sorrow that brings me, knowing that he is with the Lord and the Lord only brings me peace. Knowing that he did not suffer brings me peace. Knowing that he is looking down over all of us brings me peace. As all of you know, Jack was my best friend. He truly did bring out the best in me. He was strong, handsome, had the best smile that would light up a room, kind and selfless. He would do anything for anybody he loved. Jack, I promise I will always make you proud. I will accomplish everything I told you I would. I don’t know what life looks like without you, but I cannot wait to run into your loving arms and give you the biggest hug when the day comes.
