You were never just my coach. Excalibur was my second home and you and Dena Walker were my parents away from home. I’m so grateful you took great care of me. From the start you caught on that I was built different 🙂 you always called me a monster (in the best way), like strong, tough, ready for anything… and said I was your body guard 😂

And bars with you… in the moment…a struggle, but reflecting back…honestly the best. I was your experiment. Always trying some new crazy skill, pushing the limits, seeing what I could do…and somehow actually doing it! I’m still so proud to say I competed a skill no other U.S. gymnast has, and yes..YOU taught me that… and so many other fun, insane skills that made me love the sport even more.

I’ll never forget fond memories of team parties, birthdays, empty sprite bottles left laying around the gym, national team camps, traveling for competitions and all the little moments in between that meant the most. The way you believed in me gave me confidence in myself, and that’s something I’ll carry forever.

You used to call me a clown because I could never be serious… and I can still hear you saying it with a straight face, but I also know I made your days a little brighter.

And even after I retired my leo for coaching gear, you were still there! Someone caring I could go to for anything …and being a huge part in developing me into the coach I am today.

There are so many stories I could tell… I just wish I could tell you one more.
But in your honor i’ll continue making the rockin world go round with a smile

You are so cherished and loved. I’ll miss you dearly.

2026-the year l stop explaining my magic and just wear it. Boundaries in one hand, boldness in the other. Less ‘shoulds,’ more soul.

Turns out, the best glow comes from trusting my Taurus Moon’s quiet wisdom and my Aquarius North Node’s electric intuition. What’s meant for me won’t miss me-I’m ready to receive.

Cheers to building a life that’s equal parts grounded and wild. Like my Capricorn grit whispering: Make it real.
