First masters nationals = done!! (swipe to the end for a little relay state record action 😛)

Being real… this weekend challenged me in ways I didn’t expect. Stepping onto a bigger stage again brought up a lot of emotions- I found myself comparing my swims to where I used to be, and even to the people around me. It was hard to seperate who I am now from who I used to be as a swimmer.

But at the same time, this was the most fun I’ve had swimming in a long while. Getting to feel like a kid again- racing purely for the love of it- reminded me why I started in the first place.

I’m so grateful for the ability to keep showing up in a sport I love, and for what that looks like in this season of my life. And I’m especially thankful for the teammates and friends who make post-retirement swimming something I genuinely look forward to.

Just getting started again 💙🏊‍♀️ #lockedin taken in Greensboro Aquatic Center by @morgandespres
