One year ago today.

I didn’t cry on our wedding day, but I wept this morning. Before I met Tyler, I was terrified of meeting anyone. So much so that when T told me he loved me, I said thank you and then debated breaking up with him. But as a dear friend once told me, you need to let yourself be loved.

And Tyler has loved me every day since.

He has loved me in the way he makes my coffee on the weekends. In the way he encourages me to try new things, and how he willingly learns the things I love just because I love them, whether that’s learning to play a new game, watching Dancing with the Stars, or sitting through a million dog videos before bed every night. In how he has started indulging in sweets with me so I don’t have to eat them alone. In the way he celebrates the things in my life. In how thoughtful he is in the time we spend together. In how he loves Sadie and being a dog dad. In the way he holds me when I get bad news and cries along with me.

If anything, this year has taught me that it really is in the smallest ways that God redeems all things for good. It hasn’t all been easy or perfect, but it has been significantly more than I could have asked or imagined.

Lots to catch up on! Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it!

-Celebrated T turning 33 in Monterey / Sonoma
- Bought + renovated a house! More to come on that later
- Celebrated so many friends becoming moms it’s the best
-Went to France for work and had Porchfest all within the same week and somehow survived!
-Turned 29 and felt sooo celebrated by the best people I know by @morganeedwards_

5 years ago I got Sadie.

5 years of gotcha day shoots (even though yesterday she cared more about cheese than behaving— classic)
5 years of being the main character
5 years of keeping me on my toes
5 years of being a bed hog

part four — family. We would be no where without them. They have carried us through it all and have loved us in every season and gosh we are so grateful. 🫶

Part three — the details. Looking back on this day, we felt so much peace. It was very clear that the Lord was with us every moment. About 40 minutes before the wedding, we had to switch our ceremony location because of rain. What could’ve been stressful turned into one of the most meaningful moments because as soon as we prayed over the ceremony, the sun came out. The weather was perfect the rest of the day. 🤍

part two— the girls. 🫶

The way I could write a book on how thankful I am for each of them. They have prayed and petitioned and encouraged and loved me so well in through so many seasons of life. They are kind, constant, thoughtful, loyal, hilarious, God-fearing women. I’m so blessed to have each of them in my corner.

A day we’ll look back on for a lifetime.

We are so grateful to be able to look back on this sweet day and be overwhelmed with gratitude. Our hearts are so full thinking about the team of people and our families who helped make our wedding happen. Feeling deeply loved and prayed over as we step into this new chapter of marriage 🫶
