Took some time off between commissions to paint this. I wanted to paint the last desperate move before the defeat.

Kickstarter for 101 artists art book is now live!
@wraithmarked compiled this art book in a unique way, they paid the artists a licensing fee for the publication of their work regardless of their popularity, and all the artworks are 100% human made.

PROCESS :

For this illustration, the idea was to convey that the character has a secret to hide without literally showing it.

I sent both options, A and B to the client. These sketches are very simplified, but they are strong enough to convey the feeling I had in mind.

They went with option A. So after that I go ahead and take real-life references for the character and do 3D mockup as well, which helps speed up the process a lot.

Madam Darling from Peter Pan.

I wanted to illustrate the moment when she findout her babies has left for the imaginary world.

This painting was done under the @smarterartschool 's mentorship with @sheppardarts her art has always been a huge inspiration for me and my art so I'm so happy to be part of this mentorship🥹

Va
savoir
