This is where my new chapter begins. Where my pain has strengthened me. Where my heartache is a thing of the past. Where my grieving comes to an end. Where I start moving forward with more love in my heart. This is where I start living again while shining brighter than ever. This time I put myself first. This is my comeback story and it's only the beginning.

I have a BIG announcement being made tomorrow! 📣 I can't wait to share what I've been working on! What started as an idea/dream about 7 years ago, has become the real deal these past 6 months. A lot of research, hard work, and sleepless nights has gone into this... and I can't wait to finally start talking about it! So, stay tuned. 🤗🌺💕

2 years without you, and it still feels as if you were taken from us yesterday. I don't think I will ever be ok living this life without you. They say it gets easier, but I don't see that happening anytime soon. I know it sounds silly, but I just never thought I would have to live this life without you, at least not at this age. We needed more time. You needed more time... even tho I know you are in a better place, this life just isn't the same without you.

I still feel as if you are going to walk thru that door or you'll be at the house sitting in your chair when I arrive. I hate that you aren't here to say "be careful" when I leave the house, like you did every single time I left. But I know you wouldn't want me/any of us to sit in this pain/sadness. You worked too hard for the lives you gave us for us to live anything less than happy. So, I promise... I'm trying. It's just so hard. But I know I'll be ok because I am your daughter. My strength comes from you. It always has. So, I will continue being strong for everyone around me, just like you were for all of us.. and I know, one day, I'll be strong for myself as well. But until then, I'll let my strength for others strengthen me again.

I love you and miss you so much Daddy. Thank you for everything. Thank you for being the good hearted, hard working, strong man that you were and had to be for our family. You were and always will be amazing.🙏🏽💕 by @morganmacedo

So, last week I was named Resource Parent of the Year for the North Regions. I was presented with an award and a framed certificate of appreciation from the county. They called me up on stage to present all of this to me, while giving this long speech about why I deserved the award. I was beyond honored to just be nominated, but to actually be chosen... I'm still in shock. This was completely unexpected! I didn't even know I had been chosen until they started calling people up, and then I put two and two together lol.

There are so many amazing foster parents out there. I am just honored to be recognized as apart of this amazing community of angels. To be recognized for everything I have done and continue to do for this baby girl, and her parents, was something special. However, I couldn't have done any of this without my family tho. They have all welcomed my foster baby in with open arms and have made her feel safe from day one. I am extremely blessed and thankful to have such an amazing supportive family in my corner.

I have learned so much throughout this entire experience, and just all it takes to be a foster parent. When they say "It takes a village" they aren't lying. Without the many many Resource Parents/foster parents out there, these kids wouldn't have safe homes and loving families to care for them during these times. I have the utmost respect for all of you. Thank you for all that you do for these kids. You all are amazing angels. 🙏🏽💕

Can't believe I turn 40 in 3 months. I'm not mad at it, tho. My 30s were not kind to me at all. My 30s were quite terrible, actually. Only good thing about my 30s, was that I came back home and got my time with my Dad before he passed. My 30s are ending with the worst 2 years of my life and a roller coaster of emotions. So, I'm ready to close the chapter on this decade and start new, while making my Dad proud. It's time for me to live again and get back to being me. I haven't been me in a long time, but I've been working on that and I'm finally getting there. One way or another, I will make my 40s the best years yet. At least, that is the plan. So, bring on my 40s! I'm coming back better and stronger than ever.
