One of the reasons I love my job is because I regularly meet wonderfully inspirational people. @morganmsmiths is one such person: recently graduating with a degree in dance, he is now charging headlong into a career in dance and modelling. For this shoot, he came to me for headshots and portraits for both a Spotlight profile and to expand his modelling portfolio. What really impressed me in Morgan was the level of passion he has for expressiveness and creativity in his work. As we chatted throughout he shoot, his enthusiasm was contagious, as was his awareness of his own body and how to use it. For example, the contrast between the second and fourth photo in this series shows his understanding that male dancers often work with triangles, with the fourth involves Morgan taking up the space in the image that the second does not. Thanks for coming over, Morgan, and reminding me just how good Radiohead are. — @headshots.matter #dancersofinstagram #headshotsmatter #headshots #portraitphotography by @morganmsmiths
