Today- June 27th, 2020, my father lost his battle to lung cancer. Cancer may have took his life but honestly he made cancer his bitch. My heart is completely broken due to this heavy loss. My dad was such a strong and hardworking man. He worked his ass off for my family and I will forever be grateful. I will be so lucky if I am even half the person he was. His presence was felt by everyone who knew him. He left a tremendous mark on this world. I would give anything to sit and listen to him talk history or music again. I don’t want to be here without him, but I know that he would want the absolute best for me. I promised him that I will continue to make him proud and take care of our family. I already miss him with every bit of me but I know he is pain free and at peace. It’s painful to move on in a place without the presence of a true badass, Jerry McGovern. I will love and cherish him for all of eternity. May he rest in the sweetest peace, my beautiful angel 💔😇 #fuckcancer by @morganrosem24
