For anyone interested in a little post production BTS: Slide 2: My (slightly messy looking) timeline, showing the edit’s progression through trying a lot of different options For music videos I tend to keep layering up so I can flick between ideas and concepts as I go (then flatten it all out after lock) this is especially helpful for me when deciding between lip sync performance takes Slide 3: A comp to create our final image. I used a freeze frame of Ross to still his breathing and any movement from him, while the background layer of the blood and plastic played at real time Slide 4: Comp in action Slide 5: We had 76 effects on the timeline, ranging from respeeds, to take our 50fps footage back up to realtime, to adding fake handheld motion and digital zooms onto shots for extra dynamism by @morgyn.mov
