Three days in Berlin with the class @k______h______u______f______ (Künstlerisches Handeln und Forschen) around the upcoming exhibition project „The End (not yet)“ at @villaheikekunstverein which is planned for the end of the year.

Together with Prof. Christin Lahr (@hgbleipzig), we spent the days moving between exhibitions, ruins, memorial sites, conversations, breakfasts, drinks, lakes, archives and speculative futures and pasts.

What stayed with us were recurring questions:
How do spaces store ideology and memory?
How do images shape our understanding of reality and history?
What happens when the future feels permanently suspended between collapse and possibility?

The workshop became about building a shared sensitivity toward the spaces, histories and atmospheres surrounding the project.

Incredible day spent yesterday as a jury member for the Bildräume der Solidarität exhibition at @villaheikekunstverein, Berlin! Ten hours of intense deliberation and discussion over submitted entries. What an amazing opportunity to see what kind of work artists living in Germany are creating right now. To my fellow jurors, @moritz.jekat, @wiebkeloeper_promptography, @barbaraeschmarowski, @benhadjdjilaligalerie and Michael Schäfer, much love — it was a pleasure working with you.

Tuesday, 3.2.: 𝓡𝓔𝓐𝓓𝓘𝓝𝓖 𝓖𝓡𝓞𝓤𝓟 “The Xenofeminist Manifesto - A Politics of Alienation” by Laboria Cuboniks and “Xenofeminism” by Helen Hester, hosted by Moritz Jekat! 5-7 p.m., Reading Room of the HGB library

This reading group explores how feminist, techno-political, and emancipatory thought can be rethought under conditions of digital acceleration and translated into artistic practice. Starting from the Xenofeminist Manifesto and Helen Hester’s Xenofeminism (both 2018), the texts frame technological alienation not as loss, but as a lever for political and social transformation. Key concepts include techno-materialism, anti-naturalism, and gender abolitionism.

Since their publication, technological, economic, and political conditions have shifted again: platform monopolies, proprietary AI, military and police uses of algorithms. Against this backdrop, the question is how xenofeminist positions from 2018 can be situated today.

In 2026, XF appears less as a closed theory than as an interface—one that must connect with other theories of power, (re)production, and infrastructure to become politically effective. Rather than updating XF, this reading group asks about its additions, ruptures, and productive overloads through art and theory.

This is not a lecture, but an open discussion space for theoretical and artistic debate, in cooperation with the HGB Library and the Institute for Theory with Andreas Broeckmann.

Showing the sculpture series „Theory of Constructed Emotions“ at @kangcontemporary till mid February. Come say hi if you are in town. 🦋

We also had a beautiful artist talk last Friday. Thx to everyone who joined us.

… quarreling with different psychological states, neuro science and emotional experiences between digital and physical, „Theory of Constructed emotions“ is me crying crocodile tears after I lost my digital memory, love and much more, being mad and addicted to this at the same time and wondering where this takes us/me? by @moritz.jekat
