Gleich zwei neue Ausstellungen haben wir gestern in der Kunsthalle Augsburg im Glaspalast eröffnet: SHIFT OF VISION & MANUEL FRATTINI!In der Ausstellung SHIFT OF VISION widmet sich die Kunsthalle Augsburg der zeitgenössischen abstrakten Malerei mit einem konzentrierten Blick auf drei ebenso markante wie autonome künstlerische Positionen aus Deutschland: Jutta Haeckel, Peter Krauskopf und Moritz Neuhoff. Der Schleier als Bild – Moritz Neuhoffs Malerei zwischen Haut und BildschirmWer vor einem Bild von Moritz Neuhoﬀ steht, tritt ein in ein Flimmern. Was von fern wie eine gedruckte Oberfläche wirkt, beginnt in der Nähe zu atmen. Das Licht scheint nicht auf der Leinwand zu liegen, sondern hinter ihr zu glühen. Die Farbe changiert, löst sich auf, bevor man sie benennen kann. Und der Raum – ist er flach oder tief, nah oder fern? Die Desorientierung ist gewollt. Sie ist das eigentliche Bild.Neuhoﬀs Gemälde beginnen als Körper. Die Geste, mit der Farbe aufgetragen wird, ist keine flüchtige – sie trägt die Spur des Arms, die Reichweite der Hand, das Gewicht der Bewegung. Pinsel gießen sich über die Leinwand, Farbe tropft, fließt, wird versprüht, geschichtet, zerschliﬀen. Keine Hierarchie der Techniken. Alles ist gleichzeitig möglich. Der Entstehungsprozess schreibt sich ein und verschwindet doch wieder, sobald das Bild zu sich selbst gefunden hat. Was bleibt, ist nicht die Geste, sondern ihre Ahnung: ein körperliches Echo, das im Betrachten nachhallt. Denn was diese Bilder zeigen, ist paradox. Sie stellen das Gemalte heraus – und höhlen es zugleich aus. Aus der Distanz wirkt die Farbe plastisch, die Oberfläche scheint zu wuchern, Schichten türmen sich scheinbar auf.
