A tree in a field and a raven looking for something to eat. There’s nothing, but that’s alright. Look, the sun is shining and it’s getting warmer every year.

Things are looking up.

Leading lines, negative space, and a single point transform the world through a camera into a graphic composition that deserves to be called art.

The rest is just taking pictures. taken in Germany by @moritzwolf.art

Clear structures, repetition and symmetry. Graphic compositions are everywhere. You just have to frame them with precision.

Two angles. One building.
Structure, light, and motion — captured in the heart of Mainz.
Where street photography meets urban geometry.

I love black and white photography and the reduction to what truly matters. For me, photography is not about perfect sharpness or flawless technical quality, but about composition, light, lines, shapes, and the deliberate arrangement of objects within the frame.

I’m especially inspired by the “New Vision” movement from the 1920s and 1930s. The idea of changing perspectives and seeing the world in a more abstract and conscious way still fascinates me today.

I also think it’s incredibly important nowadays to show how art is actually created. That’s exactly what I’m currently trying to explore in my videos, because it makes photography feel more authentic and tangible.

I’ve been heavily inspired by the work of @alan_schaller, who has become a major inspiration to me. The work of Fan Ho also constantly gives me new motivation to further develop my photographic way of seeing.

This picture was taken near Mainz Central Station. I waited a few minutes for the moment when the birds took off. Right after I captured the shot, I heard someone from across the street saying: Why are you taking a picture of me. I replied that I was photographing the birds. The guy just said better for you and looked at me in a strange way. I straightened up because I had been leaning against the wall. Either he underestimated my height or he was simply acting weird. He was around 1.70 and I am 2.04. You can guess who walked away without saying another word. If someone talks to me politely and says they don’t want to be in the photo, I fully understand. But this pointless, aggressive attitude is something I really can’t stand.

Today, a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse. I don’t usually share this, because the vision and final image already exist clearly in my mind — the execution is the true art of what I do. But behind the scenes often reveals that the creative process doesn’t end with the click of the shutter.

With a 28mm lens, you’re naturally bound to the frame it offers — and that’s usually how I believe images should be created: honest, shaped by the limits of the focal length. But the Leica Q3 changes that. Cropping in to 35mm or even 60mm feels seamless, without losing the essence of the shot. It’s a quiet way of cheating the frame, yet the results remain compelling. There’s something uniquely inspiring about photographing with the Q3 — it invites both precision and freedom. taken in Mainz, Germany by @moritzwolf.art

Photography is more than just a hobby—it’s how I see the world. I’m 25, currently shooting with the Leica Q3 and its incredible 28mm lens. To me, it’s the perfect focal length—versatile, immersive, and razor-sharp. The image quality is so strong, I can crop to 50mm without hesitation. For everything else, I rely on my full-frame system.
I focus on street photography, still life, architecture, and anything with artistic depth.
Always chasing light and meaning.

Do you still consider it photography when AI turns an image into something that could never have existed?

Let me know in the comments!

A moment of structure, light and silence.
Straight from the Leica — pure lines, pure geometry.
Photography isn’t created on a computer. It’s captured in the moment.
